Disputed non-free use rationale for File:1998 VHS Advertisement of An American Tail 3.jpeg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:1998 VHS Advertisement of An American Tail 3.jpeg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 02:19, 30 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with your custom signature

[edit]

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. 19:04, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

I hadn't heard about that before, but I do remember hearing about the push (and rumors) that Elsa would have a girlfriend, although that didn't happen. There's apparently a LOT of articles about that, like here, here, here (the voice actress Idina Menzel who voices Elsa is on board with the idea), here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here, to name a few. So, I think that would be worth summarizing and putting on the page as well, choosing the best sources out of this lot, and perhaps some others. Historyday01 (talk) 20:43, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Chick tract, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. ButlerBlog (talk) 21:05, 17 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm The Grand Delusion. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to 2016 in animation seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. The Grand Delusion(Send a message) 01:29, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks and I apologize for that. The only mistake about your revert is on the section Television series debuts as the link to The Powerpuff Girls (2016 TV series) was reverted to The Powerpuff Girls from 1998, which ended in 2005, 11 years before the reboot. I’m one of the most reasonable editors and the most peaceful. I don’t like vandalism or false information on this site at all. Sometimes, I will correct the mistakes I’ve made. Question, Did Disney cut the Marsupilami's small cameo with Darkwing Duck in the Bonkers episode, The 29th Page?

[edit]

If Disney had legal issues with their version, They can edit the scene. And even put a disclaimer that due to legal issues with Marsupilami's creator. We had to cut his cameo. This also means Darkwing Duck's scene was also cut. And then say Sorry, Darkwing Duck. I used to remember the classic Sesame Street song Put Down the Duckie originally had Paul Reubens as Pee-Wee Herman. After he was arrested, His cameo was removed and replaced with Phil Donahue. No hard feelings. --User:BuddyBoy600 (talk) 04:40, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@BuddyBoy600 I’m sorry I couldn’t help before it was removed, but seriously, you didn’t have to create a separate page for me. I was tired. That was a partial article you created for a user, which is not necessary and is unsuitable for Wikipedia policy and guidelines. When it comes to editing on Wikipedia, you’re responsible for them, including creating pages. I’ve been working on this site for many years and yeah, I received notices when it comes to mistakes in the past. I know you like Marsupilami, but editing is serious business. Just try to stay out of trouble, okay? Retrosunshine2006 talk 21:43, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am not upset about it. And it's okay. I sure do memes of Marsupilami via Pinata Farms. Have you used it? If not, That's okay too. I want to say thank you. Marsupilami: "No, Maurice! License tagging for File:The Truce Hurts Super 8 reel.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:The Truce Hurts Super 8 reel.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:30, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah. Thanks for the information. I will remember to do that as I’m responsible for my edits. I don’t vandalize any page on this site, which is one thing I won’t tolerate. Retrosunshine2006 talk 22:48, 29 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

For a long time, I thought I was doing good on my edits on Wikipedia as I understand the site’s terms and tried so hard not to vandalize. I know the Weinstein cut of Arthur and the Invisibles still exist on US and UK DVDs, cause i checked at a charity shop. @2A02:C7E:5E7D:E00:A921:9096:3C65:7DE8 Look, those from the charity shop or online shops are out of print as dated in 2007, 11 years before The Weinstein Company closed down because of Harvey Weinstein's arrest. This version has not been renewed, period. This release is also expensive on online shops. Also, the link to the Weinstein cut on Amazon Prime is no good as further purchases to that version has been discontinued. Only the original uncut version is accessible on Amazon Prime. I Am Weasel

[edit]

Hello. It's been almost one year after I told you here to not add info that lacks a source in the I Am Weasel article. Sorry if I wasn't so polite, you are welcome as anyone is to contribute to that article, I'm not the owner of it after all. But I usually watch after it for many years now because people are frequently trying to add unverifiable info to it. And I had a lot of work to make it like it is today, so it's necessary that somebody watch after it. Almost one year passed, but I felt the need to apologize now for being a bit harsh with you.
