Vera Hyrych / Vira Ghyrytch

[edit]

Hi, RetroTram. I saw that you created an article on Vera Hyrych and included her in List of journalists killed during the Russo-Ukrainian War, but didn't include any citations to reliable sources. I've looked at what's currently being said about her in sources, and they all seem to be repeating what was said in this tweet, without confirming it themselves. For something politically sensitive like the Russo-Ukrainian War, it's important that we not say anything that reliable sources haven't confirmed. For the time being, I've removed her name from the list, and redirected the article to the list (even though she isn't currently mentioned there). I imagine within the next 24 hours we'll have a much better idea of things, and then, if necessary, a section on her can be added to the list, and potentially the article can be recreated if she is notable for reasons other than her death. (Although if the article is recreated, it should probably be at the title Vera Hyrych, since that's the name she seems to have used in English.)

Does that work for you? -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 10:15, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Strike all that, it's been added with an adequate source. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 10:25, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh... I still don't think there's enough there for an article. Do you plan to expand it? If not, it should be redirected back to the list. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 10:54, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes i will expend it.RetroTram (talk) 10:55, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
