Submitted article about myself as author. Was told there were no third party references and need to show people were talking about this. Put in blog pages pointing to fan page blogs. Was told the page blogs were self published. Put in five third party references and made comment to the individual declining the article, name is unimportant as this is an analytical observation. I received a reply stating it was a question of being "notable." I checked the individual's submissions and found several article about fifth rate ball players. Asked people if they knew who any of these people were. None of them had any idea. Notable, really, how disingenuous. Checked out several of this individuals citations and couldn't find them.

This led me to question why anyone would so readily decline an article. I read farther and discovered Wikipedia gives "brownie points" for reviewing articles. The person with the most reviews (accepting or declining) get the gold award. Went to this person's personal page and read this person was a gamer. I also found this person declines about ninety-nine percent of the articles this person reviews or patrols. Became immediately obvious this administrator was racking up game point (or brownie points) by taking the easy route of declining articles. Declining being much easier than taking time to review an article, in depth, from a neutral viewpoint. I believe the "patrol" idea to be a good one, at face value, but it appears there are some kinks that need to be worked out.

Removed my article due to copyright concerns. It wasn't accepted and therefore doesn't need to be in the public domain. Will post it elsewhere. -=Renspur=- (talk) 04:14, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • My favorite Nietzsche quote, "It is the destiny of democracy to succumb to faction."

  • May have overdone it on blanking my article. Although the Wikipedia guidelines state anyone can delete an article the system seems to keep infinite backups. Need to research how to completely remove content generated by me.

  • Did research on how to setup Info boxes. Found numerous templates and will experiment with them. It appears creating one's own Info box involves creating a table with global variables. The method seems easier than using compiler programming. Not sure if new variables need to be approved first.

  • My favorite Hemmingway quote, "It is easy to write. You just sit down at a typewriter and bleed."

  • Blog notice - Amazon is offering "We Served In Silence" for 10 percent off. I didn't drop the price so Amazon must have taken it on themselves to do this as a promotional campaign. I have no idea how long they plan on offering the book at this price. I assume they are taking the price reduction out of their own pocket. You might take advantage of it while they do.

  • Edits on Operation Igloo White. Changed from a Naval (in error, if anything it was initially an Air Force operation) Operation to a joint military operation. Added Sections for origin and declassified citations.

  • Observations on Operation Igloo White. It appears the compiler of the page made the entries from the viewpoint of the U.S. Navy. Need to add the other U.S. Defense contributions. It was originally Air Force, then Navy (used to drop accoustics). Also the Army, Marines, Koreans and ARVN were involved.

  • Lost about a thousand words using Word 2013. Saved on my laptop to Microsoft's Skydrive using a Wi-Fi connection. Remember I did hit the "Save" icon and observed the file saving at the bottom of the page. The file didn't save locally either or I could have merged it with the Skydrive copy. The only observation I made was I did not close the file. Thinking the file had been saved I exited by pressing the X to close the program. Wonder if this somehow erased the the local file. Made a couple of tests by making small updates, saving the work and closing the file from the drop down menu and then exiting with the X. These saved so there might be a idiotsynchracy there somehow. Just hope I can rewrite the thousand words. Like how I had written it. Don't know if I can duplicate it or not.

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Fairborn, Ohio appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person or organization added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. In reading thru some of your notes here, it appears you do not understand notability, which is the fairly objective criteria for inclusion on Wikipedia. The specific requirements for people are found at WP:BIO. John from Idegon (talk) 16:23, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
