A tag has been placed on File:Kristian Alexander 2014.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Kristian Alexander 2015.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 21:47, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Renial1. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 2601:188:180:B8E0:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 17:29, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your email

[edit]

Hi! You emailed me, but I don't see anything in your message that can't be discussed here. Much of the initial version of Kristian Alexander was copy-pasted from here or here or some similar promotional page. I've recently removed a good deal of that content as unsourced, but some remains. The page can be rewritten on this special page; if it is not, it may be deleted or reduced to a stub in a week or so from now.

Before you make any further edit relating to Alexander or the Kindred Spirits Orchestra you should disclose the nature of your conflict of interest in relation to these topics. If you receive or expect to receive any payment of any kind from either of them, disclosure is obligatory. Thank you, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:32, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You've emailed me again, I still don't know why. For an idea of the extent of the copyvio problem, see this; as I said, a good deal of that has now been removed.
Paid or not, you still need to disclose the nature of your conflict of interest in relation to these topics – you seem to have made exactly one edit that is not directly related to them. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 20:16, 25 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kristian Alexander

[edit]

I've emailed you a copy of the deleted article Kristian Alexander in response to OTRS ticket 2021013010005245. As I noted in that email there are a number of other issues.

Cabayi, I don't have a paid conflict of interest in respect of Kristian Alexander and Kindred Spirits Orchestra. I can't declare a paid conflict of interest whereas there is none. The Kindred Spirits Orchestra is a public charity registered with the Government of Canada. My position is volunteer-based (I am not paid for any and all of my services). I don't know who Tarrazu is - I have never been in communication with him/her. The article Kristian Alexander was accepted by Wiki editor several years ago and it was published. The tone of the Wiki article is encyclopedic (there are no references to Alexander as Meastro) - there are such references on the KSOrchestra.ca but not in the Kristian Alexander. The notability of the article and the content were already approved by Wiki several years ago when the article was published. Renial1 (talk) 02:43, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Renial1, you should learn to sign your talk-page posts with four tildes. Whether or not you think your relationship to Alexander and the orchestra is paid COI is beside the point – what you need to do is to fully and transparently disclose your connection to these topics. Once you've done that we'll let you know whether or not that relationship falls under our paid-editing policy. Until such disclosure is made, any further edit relating to, referring to, or in any way discussing, Kristian Alexander or the Kindred Spirits Orchestra is very likely to lead to the indefinite suspension of your editing privileges – you've been asked over and over again to make disclosure, and have done nothing but prevaricate. Now it's time to choose: either abide by our policies, or find somewhere else to write about this person and his activities. Thank you, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 20:23, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Justlettersandnumbers, Renial1 has already placed a COI declaration on their userpage. Cabayi (talk) 21:11, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed so, Cabayi. But that is not a full and transparent disclosure of the nature of that COI, so we can't really determine from it whether or not this is paid editing as defined by our policies. If there's been such a full disclosure I have missed it, and apologise in advance if I've done so. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:57, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Cabayi, I am not sure if Justlettersandnumbers read my complete and transparent disclosure above (see my post at 02:43, 25 February 2021 UTC). Please advise how to bring this to his attention and is there anything else I am expected to do?
