Five essentials

I am not sure why this article was tagged for propposed deletion. 'Not enough info here' isn't ,in my opinion, a good enough reason. An article is normaly tagged with CSD A1 if it hasn't got enough infomation to establish what the article is about. If the context can be established, which in this article it can, then the article should not be deleated but marked with a stub template which this article has been. Please could you explain why you felt this was a special exeption. Thank you, Oddbodz (talk) 11:04, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Wilby School

Hi. I've left a comment on the talk page of this article for you. Blue Square Thing (talk) 15:40, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

OK, I was just about to merge this and saw you'd added something. Am I still OK to do so or do you want to go through a more formal process? Blue Square Thing (talk) 18:40, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

I have challenged your CSD A1 on Oregon gubernatorial election, 1954. The article name makes it clear what the article is about. It is a very poor quality article, but I don't think it can be CSD'd. Monty845 19:10, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

It's been 2011 for a while.

Thanks for the feedback - can you please re-review? :)

Hi Wilbysuffolk - I appreciate your feedback in helping me make my entry better for Wikipedia and readers. You asked me to add sections to my entry of Andrew M. Stroth. I have made changes that I believe accomplish the goal of sectioning off the content. Can you please re-review the page and let me know if I've cleared up the issue you had with this page? http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Andrew_M._Stroth. Thanks so much - your feedback is greatly appreciated :) Christineokelly (talk) 16:05, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Architecture ad

Hi, I noticed you tried to add an ad for WikiProject Architecture to {{Wikipedi ads}}, but weren't successful. Should I add it there for you? User<Svick>.Talk(); 12:36, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Wikiproject:New User/Templates/Original, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 10:35, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

I have reverted your renaming of this article. First of all, renaming articles about place names is almost always controversial and should therefore be discussed through the requested moves process. Secondly, the renaming and subsequent redirection of Ipswich to Ipswich (disambiguation) broke a lot of links. Favonian (talk) 12:04, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Merger proposals surroundingWilby, Suffolk

I'm proposing that whatever notable content we can find at Stanway Green, Russel's Green, Foals Green and Wootten Green be merged into Wilby, Suffolk. I imagine the content can be easily contained on the Wilby page and that article size won't be an issue. I can't see that any of the four articles would survive an AfD without the result being to merge or that enough notable content will come to light to justify their existence just now Blue Square Thing (talk) 18:08, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Hi Wilbysuffolk,

I'll tentatively say yes, though I couldn't find out from the proposal page how you'd like supporters to help. I can contribute photographs and illustrations especially of Cambridge and surrounding villages. Please let me know if you'd like me to help in something specific.

Petition

Hi Wilbysuffolk,

You do realise, right, that hardly anybody on Wikipedia is gonna petition for buses in Suffolk here? This is an encyclopedia, not a petition form website. You'd be better actually doing it with local people, who know what they're campaigning for. But WP is not really the place. I've done it out of pity, but really, let's face it, are the council going to listen to two people, or two hundred people? Just a little note. Sprinting faster (talk) 17:31, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Forums about buses, or forums about Suffolk and/or East Anglia, would be good places. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 17:42, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Greetings Wilbysuffolk! Sorry I couldn't be of any help, but not too long after I read your message it appeared you were no longer in need of my support. Congrats, --Al Ameer son (talk) 20:59, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Greetings! A stub template or category which you created has been nominated for renaming or deletion at Wikipedia:Stub types for deletion. The stub type most likely doesn't meet Wikipedia requirements for a stub type, through failure to meet standards relating to the name, scope, current stub hierarchy or likely size, as explained at Wikipedia:Stub. Please feel free to make any comments at WP:SFD regarding this stub type, and in future, please consider proposing new stub types first at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals! If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Wilbysuffolk/Shutdown, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. References

Hello Wilbysuffolk, I am a little WikiGnome who fusses around tidying things up. I have just changed the word Refrences to References in several Suffolk articles including Crown Corner and Snape Branch Line. I know how easy it is to make one mistake, and then copy and paste it numerous times, I've done it myself.
It would help me if you could remember the e between the f and the r in References.
Best wishes. Arjayay (talk) 17:02, 15 May 2011 (UTC)

Jezrell M Olarte

Actually, the other article was Jomar M Olarte. "Already made but got deleted. made by same user" only applies to articles deleted at AfD, not to CSD or PROD. Persistent re-creation can lead to salting and/or other sanctions. In this case, both articles were clear A7. Re-creation comes in from about the third appearance in a couple of days, with no attempt to address the problem that's causing the deletion. I don't know whether they think they can wear us down, or whether they think we are just vandals... Do have a good look at the CSD list - not much that's not on there gets through as a 'csd because...' and if it is on there, use it. Peridon (talk) 17:19, 16 May 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion tag removed

Hi Wilbysuffolk. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I removed your speedy deletion tag on The McGowan Companies, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers and review the criteria for speedy deletion. Particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion, proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. elektrikSHOOS 17:27, 16 May 2011 (UTC)

And please forget db-reason. Use the names like db-spam (as in Medical Cost Advocate...) if you can't remember the numbers. I'm not trying to put you off - just to get you on track. Keep a copy of WP:CSD in a window (or tab if you prefer - personally I can't be doing with tabs...) and just flick down it for the right category. I still refer to it to check sometimes, and I would think most admins do too. Keep up the good work - and make it better. :) Peridon (talk) 18:03, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
