Recommendation for vandalism reverting

[edit]

I noticed that you were reverting a lot of vandalism. May I interest you in Twinkle? It's pretty easy to use and works in the browser itself. LilianaUwU (talk / contribs) 01:01, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Lili! RemoveRedSky. Thanks for your recommendation of the service Twinkle, however I don't think I will be using any services like that until later. / Best regards, RemoveRedSky / (u) (t) 01:10, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Also, my account is still new. / Best regards, RemoveRedSky / (u) (t) 01:42, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

Thank you so much Therguy10! This is my first barnstar that I've ever received. / RemoveRedSky (t) 16:35, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh you're so very welcome! You deserve one! Therguy10 (talk) 16:49, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

defcon

[edit]

Hello. I am looking to create my own vandalism information template. You can see what I've currently made here. I'm not sure how to create the level system, and I'm looking to see if someone can help me with this. Thank you! / RemoveRedSky [talk] 17:09, 16 December 2024 (UTC)}}[reply]

I highly suggest looking at what other folks have done at Category:Wdefcon templates; if you see something similar to yours, you can make a copy and adjust it to match what you've hard-coded in your sandbox. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 18:34, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not change spaces

[edit]

Please do not make edits such as this one or this one in which the only thing you do is turn double spaces into single spaces. The wikitext parser automatically ignores double spaces when rendering the pages, so you are making an edit with zero effect on readers. "Cosmetic" changes to whitespace in the wikitext is not a good idea.

If you happen to be making another edit to the page, and you want to remove double spaces in the same edit, then that's "legal", but it may draw complaints about needlessly complicated diffs (especially if there are a lot of pointless changes on a long page). +rollback

[edit]

Hi RemoveRedSky. After reviewing your request, I have temporarily enabled rollback on your account until {{{expiry}}}. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! ~ ToBeFree (talk) 00:32, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I'll let you know to remove it when I stop editing for a while. / RemoveRedSky [talk] 16:34, 21 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Aranmula Palace

[edit]

Hi thanks for your help to updating the page Aranmua Palace. Actually i have created the same page 10 years before. But one user Arjunvishnu2000, continusly try to edit this page and try to add a fake image to manipulate the content on december-Janauary period. i tried to report his vandalisam but couldnt succeed. finally now wikipedia removed that page. before remove, one site copied the content and added it in their website. now, when i recreated the page, wikipedia says the content is copied from that website! if you have time, could you please help to solve this Ajithchandra (talk) 11:45, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ajithchandra! I don't entirely recall editing nor reverting vandalism on the page Aranmula Palace. As for your problem, I'm not entirely sure how to help. Here are some other places that you could receive help from.
  • Wikipedia's IRC Chat Room may be a good place to get live help for anything English Wikipedia related. (Please note that general questions are not answered.)
  • The Village Pump may also be a good place to get help, however you may not receive it live.
  • If you have any questions relating to media usage, see Media copyright questions.
If you still have any problems, place {{Help me}} on your talk page or visit the help desk if everything else fails. / RemoveRedSky [talk] 15:26, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Brown Mountain lights

[edit]

Was there a problem with this? [1] Geogene (talk) 22:03, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't sure if I should have reverted it or not. Their edit summary was incorrect and it seemed like an unexplained blanking, so I reverted it, however after looking at what they had removed I (for some reason) had kept it at their revision awaiting for any further edits. / RemoveRedSky [talk] 22:19, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Understood. Geogene (talk) 22:22, 22 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
