Coat of arms not marked as depreciated
User:OrphanBot marked Image:Bordeaux10.png as having a depreciated copyright tag, but Template:Coat of arms is not marked as depreciated. What is going on? Please respond to User talk:Remember the dot.
- That tag is deprecated only in that it is no longer a copyright tag. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the current list. The {{coatofarms}} tag is informational only. Think of it simply as saying, "This image is a coat of arms". We still need to know both the source and license of the image however, as we do with all images on Wikipedia. You don't have to remove the coat of arms tag, but it is neither a license nor a source. Hope that makes sense, if not, feel free to reply on my talk page, or back at WP:MCQ. - cohesion 20:12, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- Haha, yeah I know how that works for some reason I got a weird random question mark. :O I'm not a robot I promise! hehe. - cohesion 02:39, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Image:The boss icon.gif
Howdy - Please note that having a similar image of a different file type is not a criteria for speedy deletion. In the future, just use {{subst:orfud}} and the image will be deleted in 7 days if it remains unused. Thanks! -SCEhardT 01:49, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I would appreciate if you don't tag images for speedy deletion that don't meet the requirements at WP:CSD. The requirement for identical copies states: "Any image that is a redundant copy, in the same image file format and same or lower resolution, of something else on Wikipedia." This way if someone doesn't think the new version should be used, or there is a mistake, or etc., they have 7 days to dispute the change. Thanks -SCEhardT 03:34, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright tags
Hi. Could you please tell me why you have moved the image copyright tags on Wikipedia:Image copyright tags to a separate page? It is much more convenient to have them all on the same page. ---Remember the dot 04:01, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your feedback, Remember the dot. The Wikipedia:Image copyright tags page was overwhelming, so I have created several subpages like Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Fair use. You can still the tags on a single page at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Displayed and ranked. Merry Christmas! --Ellmist 04:16, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
That's really not what I was going for. I liked having the entire page loaded, so I could refer back to it. Well, Merry Christmas to you too! ---Remember the dot 04:21, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Can you please be more specific about your problem with Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Displayed and ranked? I am trying to make image tagging as easy as possible for you and other Wikipedians. --Ellmist 04:28, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
There is no table of contents, and the full template is shown instead of just a one-line summary. ---Remember the dot 04:30, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Okay, I see your point. Check out Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/All. The table of contents is a little bit screwed up, but I am working on it. --Ellmist 04:35, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
