Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Southpointeacademy, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

(@Largoplazo:) Hi, I am trying to get the hang of wikipedia and I created an account through a non-personal email address, but I realized that I prefer to use my personal email address and created another account. I was not aware I cannot have two accounts at the same time. Since I am not planning on using the other account, I would like to delete but have not been able to figure out how.

We can't delete accounts here, but I have blocked the other account, Southpointeacademy (talk · contribs). Please remember not to remove speedy deletion tags - you can contest deletion on the talkpage, as you've already done. Please also read this guide for editing under a conflict of interest, and this regarding copyright rules. Regards, GABgab 19:04, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Switching accounts isn't itself a problem, but since you had already been warned twice about removing the speedy deletion tags before you created the new account and did it again, it appeared that you had created it to try to circumvent the rule. Subterfuge is itself not permitted here. Largoplazo (talk) 19:21, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove speedy deletion notices from pages you created yourself, you may be blocked from editing. Largoplazo (talk) 19:22, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Largoplazo: Hi, I deleted it twice and then read the message that said I should not have deleted it. As I mentioned, I am new to Wikipedia editing and did not realize I was being messaged. I did message the person who left the notices that I did not realize I should not have deleted them and apologized for it. I did not delete any notices from this account, however, I did make further edits and added more information to the page.
