Dispose

And, in fact, dispose does not mean kill off or throw away. The verb dispose of has the meaning of kill or throw away. Denisarona (talk) 11:18, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well, "the disposition of an army" is a well known term. But in the English military literature I've never read "he disposed his army behind the hills". It is most often something like "he positioned his army behind the hills". For readability I'd prefer "positioned" above "disposed".
