- The read through the ref you have given to Carmen Lawrence's beliefs, it would be preferable if the source explicitly stated she was an atheist. I think it could also imply agnosticism, or humanism, it merely gives her opinion on organised religion. Maybe another ref clarifies this position. cygnis insignis 03:18, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Flag icons in the International reaction to the 2009 Victorian bushfires article
[edit]Please see Talk:International_reaction_to_the_2009_Victorian_bushfires. Merbabu still insists that we should not use flag icons on this page. Others consider otherwise. Please observe the discussion and provide your views, which now has gone to a RFC. Kransky (talk) 13:56, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, just thought you might like to know, I have started a discussion at Mvjs' talk page here. --timsdad (talk) 01:18, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Vision Brisbane image
[edit]Hi, I uploaded File:Vision Brisbane.jpg as we discussed, and you have gone and uploaded it again 13 minutes later at File:VisionBrisbane.jpg with different free-use rationale. As it's a duplicate, and it's a non-free use image, it will probably get deleted. --timsdad (talk) 07:29, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, what was I thinking?! It's not a duplicate image at all, they just looked similar (well, not to me now, but they obviously did). However, as it's under WP's rules for non-free criteria, it's fine, but it is orphaned so it will probably get deleted. --timsdad (talk) 07:41, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- hehe, yeah. it was strange when i added my version to the "vision brisbane" page, clicked preview, and noticed the caption had already changed for me to "An artist's impression of Vision when completed". does wiki now have an a.i. that knows which caption to add? :P but then i refreshed the page and noticed a similar but better looking pic had beaten me to it. so now mine's floating in limbo, and i don't mind if it gets deleted. [edit]Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images, however, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded, specifically File:VisionBrisbane.jpg, may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. Please note that we take very seriously our criteria on non-free image uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. timsdad (talk) 07:44, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:VisionBrisbane.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:VisionBrisbane.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. timsdad (talk) 07:46, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Creation–evolution controversy. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Removing large chunks of text should be discussed on the talk page first! — raeky (talk | edits) 11:25, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
