Citing sources on Wikipedia

[edit]

Thanks for pointing out a source!Talk:Deep_Throat_(film)#Roger_Ebert_citation Two articles that can help you cite sources are WP:REF and WP:IC (which may be merged soon). Happy editing! Wakedream (talk) 17:51, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And check out Wikipedia:Citation_templates which is probably what you're looking for. :-) Wakedream (talk) 17:55, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sanchez article

[edit]

Just thought I'd pass this along: Durova is citing two sources that do not pass the WP:RS standard for sourcing, concerning Sanchez's campaign to be described as an "embedded journalist." The New York Sun link is a particularly vitriolic opinion piece by a conservative writer (as opposed to straight reporting), and the second citation is from worldnetdaily.com, a conservative website notorious for its inaccuracy. Neither is a valid source for labelling Sanchez a "journalist" of any kind. --Eleemosynary (talk) 09:04, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I also reverted some vandalism from your page. --Eleemosynary (talk) 09:05, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I knew WND was cracked, but I didn't know how cracked until I googled the founder Joseph Farah. He's basically a Christian Taliban. He wants an expanded role for the church in government, gov't censorship of the entertainment industry, an end to all federally funded programs including public education. And he wouldn't mind if we started stoning people to death for committing adultery. Hard to believe anyone here would consider that site a reliable source when moderate liberal web sites have been excluded for being too partisan.Reelm (talk) 16:25, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're a left-wing homosexual kook, spending all your time on the Matt Sanchez article. Your sense of balance is worthless. The WND articles you've cited are opinion pieces. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.180.88.186 (talk) 00:23, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Matt. Aren't you supposed to be banned?Reelm (talk) 03:43, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Reelm. I've just seen your talk page and I absolutely don't approve of the insults directed at you. I've talked to Matt: he's admitted to the first one and pledged to me he won't do that anymore. I don't know where the second one comes from and it's my belief that a portion of the trolling has been spoofed. At any rate, I'm doing all I can to end it and if you're targeted again please let me know. I take this quite seriously. Best wishes, DurovaCharge! 17:58, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
