User page protection

[edit]

I have semiprotected your user page, so that newly registered and unregistered users can't change it. If you want full protection, so that nobody except administrators can change it, let me know, but that will mean that even you can't change it, which may not be what you want.JamesBWatson (talk) 08:04, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No,just leave it semiprotected. Receptie123 (talk) 10:07, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page

[edit]

I saw that your userpage is protected,can i protect mine? 87.64.25.26 (talk) 16:42, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I did not protect my user page an administrator did.And first you need to create an account to have a user page. When you do go to an administrators talk page and ask he to protect or semi-protect your user page.Receptie123 (talk) 16:46, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Delete page

[edit]

How do i delete a page? 87.64.25.26 (talk) 14:53, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You can not, only administrators can delete pages. There are all sorts of things you can do if you create an account. For example you go on your settings and set the twinkle tool and you can propose articles for speedy deletion, but you need a user account. Your not obliged to create an user account ,but i think it will be much easier for you.Receptie123 (talk) 15:02, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well i tried creating a page,but it does not work.Do i also have to be an admin to create a page.87.64.25.26 (talk) 18:05, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok i will explain you how Wikipedia works. Each user can create and edit pages,an admin can delete page, can block users, can protect pages and lots of other things. So to have access to thing on Wikipedia you need a user account.Without a user account you can only edit pages, read pages and view history of editing on pages. So it will be much easier for you if you create a user account.Receptie123 (talk) 18:54, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How to become an admin?

[edit]

How do I become an admin?87.64.25.26 (talk) 11:26, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You need a user account first of all.Second, not even i am a administrator. You need to have over 100.000.00 edits on wikipedia and more that 1 year. Not everyone can become administrator on Wikipedia. When you have a user account, over 100.000.00 edits, and more than two years and much more things you might become administrator. When your ready go to Wikipedia talk:Requests for adminship.Receptie123 (talk) 11:34, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Patrolling

[edit]

Thank you for patrolling new pages. I'm just letting you know that two minutes is far too fast for tagging A1 or A3 as you did at Vishal cv(checking your history, there are a few others too). You should be aware of these guidelines by now, and if you are not, please hold of patrolling until you have read and fully understood WP:NPP. Thanks. Talk page semiprotection

[edit]

Until 13:13, 25 August 2012 (UTC). After that, ask again for semi, if you like. I don't trust myself to remember.JamesBWatson (talk) 13:16, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

At first, I thought that you wanted semiprotection for the course of a wikibreak. However, what you have obtained is full protection, and you have continued to edit. I have received a request to remove the protection, pointing out both that you are still editing, and saying "The full protection makes it impossible for non-admins to leave messages or notifications on their talk page and prevents discussion of their actions." This is perfectly true. Editors need to be able to contact other editors in response to actions taken. In your case this is particularly so, as a substantial proportion of your editing consists of speedy deletion nominations, and the author of a page nominated for deletion has a legitimate right to contact the nominator to discuss the matter. I was doubtful even about semi-protection during a wikibreak, and more doubtful about full protection during a wikibreak, but full protection for a user who is actively editing is really acceptable only if there are special circumstances justifying it, such as persistent vandalism, not simply because the user wishes to avoid receiving messages about his or her editing. Consequently, I have removed the page protection. JamesBWatson (talk) 17:51, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Negotiable certificate of deposit

[edit]

Hello Receptie123. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Negotiable certificate of deposit, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not enough context to identify the subject claimed; I can identify this as being about a form of Certificate of deposit. Thank you. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 10:42, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

User box

[edit]

I noticed that you tried to add a user box to Wikipedia:Userboxes/Wikipedia/Miscellaneous and that it didn't work right, so you deleted it. I hope you don't mind but I found a small syntax error and restored the userbox to that page. It is displaying fine there now. -Ahunt (talk) 18:55, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks.Receptie123 (talk) 04:45, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your note, glad that was helpful! - Ahunt (talk) 10:19, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Sugar Daddy band (thailand) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done undersection A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Bihco (talk) 06:33, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatroller rights

[edit]

Hi Receptie. I'm just letting you know that I have not accorded you autopatroller rights. Please read Wikipedia:Autopatrolled to see why we can't give you this right at this time, and if you have trouble understanding anything, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page, because it's a very good idea to read instructions and understand them and ask for help before you do anything.--Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 07:21, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

deleting your talk page messages

[edit]

Hi again Receptie. I notice that you often delete your talk page messages. You are perfectly entitled to do this, but leaving them on, will enable us to better understand how we can help you become a great editor. Nothing is really deleted anyway, but it makes it hard for us to sort through the page history to find what we want to see, and where you need most help. If your talk page gets really full, we recommend that you archive it, rather than simply delete. I notice you also deleted the welcome message that you got from Valenciano. It contained some useful links to help pages.

Would you like to come round to my talk page and tell me what you really want to do on Wikipedia? Perhaps together, we can help you focus your contributions on something you are really good at. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 07:40, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
