Reminder to participate in Wikipedia research
Hello,
I recently invited you to take a survey about administration on Wikipedia. If you haven’t yet had a chance, there is still time to participate– we’d truly appreciate your feedback. The survey is anonymous and should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement.
Take the survey here.
Kind Regards,
BGerdemann (WMF) (talk) 00:18, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

Your draft article, Draft:William Browne (Catholic martyr)

Hello, ReaderofthePack. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "William Browne".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 21:26, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, ReaderofthePack,
- No, this wasn't a draft you wrote, this page was a redirect leftover from a page move you did that another editor turned into a draft article. But since you made the first edit on the page when you moved the original, Twinkle sees you as the draft creator, hence this message. Just a little editing tool confusion. Liz Read! Talk! 21:28, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- No worries! I was wondering when I'd edited on that topic - not really the usual type of thing I'd edit/create but also not entirely out of my interest/strike zone. Thanks! ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 19:34, 13 December 2024 (UTC)

Electric Tale of Pikachu
I've closed the nomination as a result of the finds discovered during the nomination, but I noticed you seemed very invested in trying to find more coverage for this subject. I plan to incorporate some of the AfD's content into the article soon; would you be willing to help me with further research and expansion of the subject? I understand you're busy and this is a very small subject, but two pairs of hands are better than one, especially when it comes to digging up more coverage (Especially since there was a lot found in the AfD I wasn't able to find in my BEFORE). Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 21:32, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
- Sure - I'm not on as frequently as I once was, but I'm willing - the biggest barrier is honestly going to be sourcing from the era. There is a ton of sourcing from the late 90s and early 2000s that just isn't available on the internet, particularly as it applies to manga/anime related topics, so that's going to be the biggest issue. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 12:34, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
- Given my resources are largely restricted to the internet, perhaps Internet Archive or Newspapers.com would be good places to start? They're some of the few places to keep records on stuff that old. Magneton Considerer: Pokelego999 (Talk) (Contribs) 17:02, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
- I did a search with Newspapers.com for the AfD - granted, I was really only looking for the very obvious articles. Internet Archive may have something as well, but that will be a bit harder to search - but might be successful when it comes to some of the anime and manga themed magazines of the day.
