Welcome
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted. Follow the links below to learn more:
- To find out about creating articles, read the Introduction and the Guide to creating your first article.
- You should not write articles about yourself, your band, or your best friend - that's a conflict of interest.
- Wikipedia is not a dictionary; articles about neologisms are unlikely to be acceptable.
- For experiments, please use the sandbox.

Proposed deletion of Hungry crotch
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Hungry crotch, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- no sources are given for this neologism and a Google search does not find confirmation of it being used like this - seems to be something made up one day.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Sorry, but Wikipedia is an effort to build a serious encyclopedia. There is a place for facetious articles of this sort - Uncyclopedia. Have a look at Your First Article if you are interested in contributing here - and the List of Bad Article Ideas is worth reading, too. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 18:45, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Hungry crotch has been reverted. Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\babout\.com\b' (link(s): http://caloriecount.about.com/fat-legs-summertime-fashion-help-ft82032) .
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! Speedy deletion of Hungry crotch
[edit]A tag has been placed on Hungry crotch, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. E Wing (talk) 19:05, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Cameltoe and Muffin top are established terms and their articles can cite references to show that they are in use. A search for Groinus insatiabilus finds only this article, which suggests strongly that it is something you made up - and hungry crotch only finds about one use in your sense, among many others. Wikipedia does not publish original work with the idea of publicising something new - it doesn't get in here until it is notable enough for independent reliable sources to be cited. See WP:NEO#Articles on neologisms and Wikipedia is not for things made up one day.
What happens now: you mustn't remove the speedy-deletion tag someone else put on, until an admin has decided whether the article qualifies for speedy deletion. He will read your note on the talk page and my response, which I have put there too. If he thinks the page should be speedied, it will go; if not, he will remove the speedy tag and the hangon, and leave the PROD.
If the PROD tag stays on for five days, the article will be deleted; but if you read the notice about it, you will see that anyone including you can remove the PROD tag if you disagree with deletion for any reason, though it's usual to give some reason in the edit summary. If you do that, I will probably nominate the article for deletion through the process called AfD, when I would explain my reasons, any interested editors (including you) can give their views, and the article gets deleted if there is a consensus to do that.
This is rather a lot of policies and guidelines to hit you with all at once, but the point is that though anyone can edit Wikipedia, it is a serious effort to create a serious encyclopedia, and can only achieve that by having fairly firm rules about what's admissible. Have a look at the various links in the Welcome paragraph above to find out more about contributing. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 20:33, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
