Spam in PENN reels
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on PENN reels, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because PENN reels is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting PENN reels, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Please do not use Wikipedia for promotional purposes. DJ Clayworth (talk) 18:19, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your message. Please have a look at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest which explains why it is strongly discouraged for people to write articles about companies they are associated with. Normally articles written by employees of a company are deleted. If you absolutely insist on trying to write an article about your company please note the following:
- Any form of promotion is absolutely forbidden and will be deleted on sight.
- All articles must adhere to the Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. This is not negotiable.
- You must demonstrate the importance of the company you are writing about - not its parent company.
- Wikipedia articles are common property, and any other editor may change you articles however they see fit.

I have read through the conflict of interest page as I noted in my message to you previously. I am not trying to break any rules, nor am I trying to promote my company or its products (I do that on our websites). This was my first attempt at contributing, and admittedly it was a sub-par attempt.
The brands that I intend on posting articles about are the absolute leaders in their industry and they have made headlines with innovations, conservation efforts, world records...ect. They are very visible and important to people who care about fishing. They deserve to have an unbiased informational page about them.
