NCAA Volleyball Tournament

[edit]

If you're going to update info on the NCAA Volleyball Tournament, please make sure you know what each column at the bottom is for. The R32 column is how many teams from those conferences advance to the round of 32. If a conference has 9 teams and goes 8–1 in the first round, then you just put 8 in the R32 box, not 8–1. Additionally if any conference out of the other category advances to the Round of 32, that conference gets added to the conference list and removed from teh other category. This way you note all the conferences that advance onward. If you'd like to see how it's supposed to look, feel free to look at the 2014 tournament. Thank you for the pointers. Would you point me to where the information, other than within this message, that would have told me what you told me about R32, etc.? Also are there other items of which I should be aware, should I continue to contribute? RayDise (talk) 18:59, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

RayDise, please count the victories before "correcting" the totals in the "by conference" box. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.18.22.172 (talk) 01:25, 19 December 2016 (UTC) RayDise, please stop editing the file. The PAC-12 had 16 wins. Utah lost to UNLV in the first round. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.18.22.172 (talk) 03:02, 19 December 2016 (UTC) Dear anoymous: I see that you never make mistakes. I had the count wrong, I had the result reversed on the UNLV-Utah match. Why don't you create an account/talk page so that all your edits can be picked apart by asses? Or you could stop being an ass. RayDise (talk) 03:08, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ray, it's not "picking apart you edit because I'm an ass" is your edit is actually wrong. That makes it just "fixing a mistake". You might want to consider next time that before you keep changing something, you should double-check to make sure you are right. And my name is Mike Garrison. You can find me on VolleyTalk if you want. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.18.22.172 (talk) 03:15, 19 December 2016 (UTC) Mike, as I said, I had wrong information, I thought I was very correct. I was not the one saying and yelling that I should not edit a page if I am not going to get it correct. I showed my math, you pointed out my flaw, ALBEIT, at high volume. I have made many edits to the NCAA volleyball championship pages over the years that I have been covering volleyball. And I will continue to do so. [edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to 2016 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!
