[edit]This is a very bad initial sentence for a Wikipedia article:
- Hierarchical generalized linear models (HGLM) can be considered as an extension to generalized linear models.
It fails to tell the reader whether the article is about sociology, military strategy, fashion design, church heirarchies, finance, grammar, chemistry, biology, etc.
I changed it to this:
- In statistics, hierarchical generalized linear models (HGLM) can be considered as an extension to generalized linear models.

DYK for Hierarchical generalized linear model
[edit]On 31 January 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Hierarchical generalized linear model, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the hierarchical generalized linear model is a useful statistical model in fields ranging from semiconductor fabrication to marketing research? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Hierarchical generalized linear model. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
