Speedy deletion nomination of Language Beta

[edit]

Hello Tarun Sepuri,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Language Beta for deletion, because it doesn't seem to have any encyclopedic content.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ubiquity (talk) 16:19, 3 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Page deletion

[edit]

You wrote on my talk page:

I understand that you deleted Language Beta in good interests but the language was a development of my own and was on the move of posting the whole language, infobox and other details. Please rectify the mistake or at least reply. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RandomUser000 (talkcontribs) 12:37, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I did not delete it. I am not a mod and couldn't delete it if I wanted to. I did suggest that it qualified for speedy deletion, because as it stood it didn't provide enough context to make sense, and moderator Amatulic apparently agreed with me. If you wish to resubmit it, I suggest you work on it as a draft for a while, or in your personal space, until you at least get enough material and sources to illustrate what the language is for and why it is notable. Since this is your own language, I also suggest you take a look at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and Wikipedia:Notability. If you simply write up a description of the language, with no external sources to indicate notability, I can promise you it will be deleted again — not through any action of mine but because this is the way Wikipedia works. ubiquity (talk) 13:49, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A belated welcome!

[edit]
Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Tarun Sepuri. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! Vanjagenije (talk) 17:45, 19 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of The Son of Sobek

[edit]

The article The Son of Sobek has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is probably about a book, but the article does not explain why this book is notable. There are also no reliable sources to establish the notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Vanjagenije (talk) 17:47, 19 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that the page is better now. I have seen other book articles and have noted the required info. RandomUser000 (talk) 05:49, 3 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Percy Jackson Task-force

[edit]

Hi, I'm looking to help revamp the Percy Jackson Task-force, a project dedicated to maintaining articles related to Rick Riordan and Percy Jackson & the Olympians. I noticed your edits on some articles that fall under this task-force's "jurisdiction", and I wanted to invite you to join! If you're interested, I'd like to invite you to become a full member; please note that the difficult requirements for membership are going to be lowered in the near future, so you can join worry-free (I know they scared me away on the first try.). You can also become just a "supporter", if that's more your speed.

Head on over to the project page if you're interested -- and no hard feelings if you're not. Thanks again in advance, and feel free to contact me on my Talk page. 2ReinreB2 (talk) 05:29, 23 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
