Change the title of "The Flower of Prison"
Hello Random86. Before, I don't want to change this title, but Ejan10 (talk • contribs), he said he is from Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation and he demand to me to change this title to "Flower of Prison" follow their English website (you can visite my talk page to see the complete message). So I thought this drama is made by MBC, I want to recpect all information follow their website, in Korean also in English. After read this message, please revert your edits, or you can make a conversation with Ejan10 (talk) to explain to them. Thank you. Kenny (talk) 19:04, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
- Kenny htv, I saw the message before I moved the page back. MBC can't control what the Wikipedia article title should be. No reliable English-language news sources (that I could find) use the title Flower of Prison, so that shouldn't be the Wikipedia title per WP:COMMONNAME. Random86 (talk) 19:39, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you. I have understood, I think I will use your reply to explain to them. Kenny (talk) 19:46, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

Hey!
Just wondering: Is this good enough description for the Wikipedia Commons when it comes to uploading my own photos to use for a page?

Thanks, hope all is well with you. I just wanted to ask you as this is my first time uploading a picture to the Wikipedia Commons.
Sincerely,

Thank you!
Hi Random, thanks for all your reviews on recent pages, Jung Mina, Smacksoft and Bo Whang. WikiProject Women in Red are celebrating Women in Entertainment in June, and I wanted to get as many contributions in, as possible, for our Korea Project! I have one more artist to add before the deadline - but I've been working on it since 2014....hahaha! It's saved there with about 10 other articles I've started! I find if I have a deadline, I work faster! The Dean page was due to his SXSW appearance and I knew Americans would be looking on WP for him....but it had it's shortcomings due to haste. Thanks for catching the right Japan earthquake - I knew the one I chose did not mention a tsunami, but I did find the correct nuclear disaster. There were so many little bits and pieces to research for the band and leader - I thought I would go back later and tweak it, but all your corrections made it right! I remembered late the page styling Yannaynay had converted Dean's page to - and went back to change these last two. I do see how confusing it gets to make the conversion now and appreciate her efforts more. Even I had written the band's page and confused the albums, when moving them up page. Thanks for the save there, too, Random!
What did Hillary Clinton say, long ago, about children's education - "it takes a village"? I'm so happy to be part of this village with the editors working on Korean pages. I think each of us has a little part to do. Thank you for all your administrative actions and outreach to the larger WP world with your DYK nominations - that takes a lot of time and effort, and it shows other projects that WE ARE HERE! :)--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 19:22, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

It's great to have more articles on non-idol Korean musicians. Keep up the good work! Random86 (talk) 23:07, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted
Hi Random86, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Nakon 04:40, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
Question on possible project submission
Hi Random Could you glance at Mari Kim, new page and see if she qualifies for the Women in Entertainment June list - as an animation director? I didn't know for sure, but rushed to get it up by June finish. Thanks.--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 19:46, 1 July 2016 (UTC) P.S. Esna was excellent, I didn't know her!--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 20:05, 1 July 2016 (UTC) Update, question might be moot, the Women in Red searchBot just logged it, so I guess the Project will look it over and make a decision, it scored 112, whatever that means to them. This is so much fun!--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 22:52, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
- Bonnielou2013 I don't think she qualifies as an entertainer – that means singer, dancer, actor, comedian, etc. Thanks for writing this article, though! I always liked 2NE1's "Hate You" and it's great to read about who was behind the animation. Random86 (talk) 04:10, 2 July 2016 (UTC)
Hi Random Kim's page was added by project editors. I thought there was a chance as I saw filmmakers on the list! (and it was near perfection after you tweaked it - thanks so much! I should have warned you about the Nara thing - I wouldn't have known if I hadn't met him at the exhibit!)
I know you work with our KoreaProject much closer than I do, so wanted to share the data for our participation in the Celebrating Women in Entertainment project for the month! I looked through the list and tried to catch all of ours. If you wanted to double-check, you may want to share the results with our KoreaProject!
- Added to Celebrating Women in Entertainment project: June 1 - Li, Ji-hye Kanghuitari, June 1 - Jung, Mina Kanghuitari, June 7 - Choi Yoon-so Kenny htv, June 22 - Kim Min-hee (actress, born 1982) (improved page) various, June 22 - Whang Bo-ryung Kanghuitari, June 25 - Esna (singer) Random86. June 29 - Park Nam-ok Megalibrarygirl, June 30 - Mari Kim bonnielou2013
- Pages created in time period and not added to project: June 15 - Lee Soo-min (actress) Kanghuitari, June 21 - Kim Min-hee (actress, born 1972) Kanghuitari, June 30 - Seo Jeong-yeon Kanghuitari
- Featured in DYK: May 29 -Kim Sae-ron, May 29 - Got a Boy (song),,May 30 - Paparazzi (Girls' Generation song), June 5 - Snowflake (EP), June 6 - Flower Bud (EP), June 10 - Mr.Mr. (song), June 16 - Jung Mina, June 17 - Galaxy Supernova, June 18 - Pink Funky, June 20 - Catch Me If You, June 19 - Season of Glass (EP), June 20 - Can (Girls' Generation song), June 24 - Hello (Mamamoo EP)
Do you think we should add the 3 pages that have not been added? These are only the ones I know of, maybe you know more? I will continue to work on those 3 and you could look them over later. None of them has been assessed yet.
I fortunately found out about this project early, when the Jung Mina page that we both worked on was added in early June. I am glad the KoreaProject was able to contribute so much, especially all your DYK submissions!!! I don't look on WP for other projects - unless they are announced on the WP headliner. So in the future, if you see any worthy projects that our team should participate in, please let me know. I love working under pressure - I think more gets done! Thanks teamy!--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 17:39, 2 July 2016 (UTC)
- Bonnielou2013 Glad it was added! I wasn't sure how broad the scope was. You should add the three missing articles; they definitely meet the criteria (I didn't see rules about minimum length or anything). I will take a look and see if anything else is missing. Random86 (talk) 21:05, 2 July 2016 (UTC)
Hi Random, I'm away from computer now, but adjunct at Catholic University is listed at Mari's website [1] and on her FB [2] - seems more reliable than newspaper, or it could be old information.--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 22:56, 2 July 2016 (UTC)
- Bonnielou2013 Mari's website says "In addition to her art practice, she serves as a lecturer for the Catholic University in Seoul and an adjunct professor at Chungkang College of Cultural Industries in Icheon City." But, the work history list says "Adjunct Professor for Catholic University, Korea". That's why it's confusing. Random86 (talk) 23:20, 2 July 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Random, Yes it is confusing, I had seen the top before but chose to go with her agent Shine's resume - along with work history at her website and what I showed you on FB (although the dates for one say since 2007 and the other says since 2012). I believe that she probably taught at both schools, and I think she may be using the English words "Instructor" and "Adjunct" interchangeably, although the later "adjunct professor" is usually meant for a college or university, which the Catholic University is; the other Chungkang seems to be more of a tech school, which would adhere to "instructor". Either way, your edit holds you responsible, tehehe....as they say in Korea! Seriously, we'll probably find out definitively later, it's fine either way, (six of one, half a dozen).--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 00:52, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
- Bonnielou2013 Feel free to change it back if you think it was more correct before. :) Random86 (talk) 01:53, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

Shinee discography
Hey I'm too lazy to create an account for this site but I've still edited Shinee's discography (and some other Shinee related sites) as good as I could so I was wondering if you could look over it? I tried to add reliable sources and corrected the sales etc. because the sales pre-2010 were incorrect with no reliable source at all. I took Girl's Generation's site as draft because it's a featured list. Also I archived many links so hopefully it will be useful in the future. I wanted to re-write the lead section too but I'm not confident in my English skills so I'll leave that part to someone else. Anyway I see you Kpop articles quite often and just wanted to ask for your opinion, if there is more I can do to help please tell me. The only thing I kinda gave up is to find reliabe sources for the Japanese sales, it's just too frustrating. --2A02:8108:1440:2870:8972:C78B:2EA3:1F66 (talk) 22:40, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
- Shinee discography is on my watchlist, so I noticed the good work you've been doing. It already looks better than most K-pop discographies on Wikipedia. T-ara discography is also a featured list, so you might get some ideas from that as well. I haven't been able to find reliable sources for Oricon weekly sales either, although I think they can be accessed with a subscription to Oricon. Random86 (talk) 06:25, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Park Cho-rong
Please don't randomly call other people disruptive. I was deleting the redirect to make way for a page that was already reviewed and accepted in AfC. Tseung Kwan O Let's talk 23:50, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
- Tseung Kwan O You didn't need to remove the redirect in a separate edit, or you could have left a more informative edit summary such as "making way for new article". How was I supposed to know what you were doing? Park Cho-rong was previously deleted at AFD, and I've seen other editors remove redirects for no reason, creating a blank page. That's why it looked disruptive. Random86 (talk) 23:59, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
- This is all just a misunderstanding. Anyway, now that I've clarified the situation, I guess we can put this behind us. Tseung Kwan O Let's talk 00:03, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
The Miracle
Hey I was wondering what you think about the page for The Miracle? Someone keeps adding it back to a page I'm working on and I simply see no reason why this article even has a page? It was just a silly 'film' done for some year-end shows. It had no impact or whatever. I was wondering if it could be nominated for deletion? I'm new here so I still need to get familiar with all the rules. Also I see how many Kpop articles have listed all shows the group ever went on and I seriously doubt it's ok to list stuff like that. I've removed these on some pages but fans obviously add them back all the time. --Thebestwinter (talk) 16:25, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
- Thebestwinter, films are considered notable if they have "received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject", per WP:NFILM. For The Miracle (2013 film), this certainly didn't happen with English-language sources, so it depends on what kind of coverage it got in Korea. Merging with SBS Gayo Daejeon is also an option.
- It's currently a losing battle trying to keep television appearance lists trimmed down, because most people editing K-entertainment articles want to have a complete list. This was discussed a lot in 2014–2015, and the rough consensus was to only include shows where the group/person was part of the main cast. However, this didn't last long as you can see, probably because not enough editors were involved in the discussions. The only thing that hasn't been tried yet is a request for comment, which might not be a bad idea. In my experience, it's very hard to get regular Wikipedia editors involved. DYK for Korea Music Copyright Association
On 19 July 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Korea Music Copyright Association, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Korea Music Copyright Association's deal with JASRAC was called a "milestone in Japan-Korean musical relations" because Japanese music had been previously banned in South Korea? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Korea Music Copyright Association. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Korea Music Copyright Association), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Questions on proper discography
Hi Random! Re: my recent DEAN updates. If a song was recorded prior to an album - (Heize's "Shut Up & Groove") but then is recorded on an album And July - does the original song become part of the album history and need to be changed from a "non-album" entry? 2nd question - I thought mvs on the Discography were only documented for the lead artist. However, after seeing that someone charted DEAN's featured on accomplishment with Taeyeon as an MV on his Discography - I added both his "featured on" mvs with Heize. I think only his lead artist mvs should be charted under his name - am I correct? I have a 3rd question, but it is late and I can't remember it. Later....thank you!--Bonnielou2013 (talk) 07:46, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
- Bonnielou2013 From what I can tell, "Shut Up & Groove" was a pre-release single from And July, so it's not a "non-album single". It was always part of the album, but was released earlier. For the music videos, you can look at Sia discography to see an example of this. They are in a separate table there, but one table is probably fine too. I hope that answers your questions! - Sohyunssi I put the wrong link by mistake. What you are doing wrong is restoring an old version of the page, which had been subsequently cleaned and copyedited by multiple editors. Your version has incorrect formatting, bad English, and factual errors. You can edit the page, but don't revert back to the old version again or I will have to report you for edit warring.
