Niqab in Egypt

[edit]

I would like to put out my article more. How do you recommend me getting feedback from others. I have linked other articles to my wikipedia by referring to them. But other than that I am not sure how to get the wikipedia community's feedback. I would love to hear people's thoughts! Thanks!!

Niqab in Egypt

[edit]

Hi there, Noosa! I'm Cryptic C62, one of the online ambassadors for the outreach program. Sageross gave us the heads up that your class had started working on articles in sandboxes, which is great! I looked over what you have so far on the Niqab in Egypt, and here's some ideas for how you can improve it:

  • Add a brief section explaining what a niqab is and how it differs from the hijab and the burqu
  • Try to find images of the relevant garments and people
  • Add links to relevant topics (see this edit for a sample)
  • Copyedit to remove typos and avoid inconsistences, such as the italicization of some Arabic words but not others
  • Start playing around with the footnote system for references

It's obvious from the notes you've left ("talk about niqab and bombing??") that you intend to expand upon what you've already written, so some of the issues I've mentioned may work themselves out as you continue to edit. Keep up the good work! --Cryptic C62 · Talk 03:07, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your article The niqāb in Egypt, it may be worth nominating it for good article (GA) status, as it seems fairly close to the GA criteria right now. Not to say that there's no more to improve upon, but I strongly recommend considering GA for the article when you have time to go through with the review that accompanies your nomination. Please feel free to ask me or your mentor more about GA; you don't have to make any decision now. Cheers, /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 00:30, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've nominated Niqāb in Egypt, an article you worked on, for consideration to appear on the Main Page as part of Wikipedia:Did you know. You can see the hook for the article here, where you can improve it if you see fit. Cryptic C62 · Talk 03:18, 3 November 2010 (UTC) --Cryptic C62 · Talk 03:18, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

good article review

[edit]

Hi Noosaelgamoosa! User:Protonk has started doing the Good Article review for your article; he's already added a bunch of specific advice, and will be adding some more in the next few days. See the article's talk page for the details. It looks like the article is definitely in reach of Good Article status with a little more effort. Good luck! --Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 17:45, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
