Gentlemen Hall
[edit]Hi, I note you've started writing an article on your user page. I'll move it to somewhere more appropriate for you, then come back with some comments. Mjroots (talk) 16:34, 14 February 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, articles about bands need to meet WP:BAND. I'm not sure whether or not the band does, but it does at least have potential to meet WP:BAND in future. I've moved the article to User:Ralphydanman/Gentlemen Hall, which is a more appropriate location for it. I've also re-created your user page, which you are free to add to in accordance with WP:UP. One last thing, reference #1 is to another Wikipedia article. This will need to be changed as one Wikipedia article cannot be used to reference another Wikipedia article, although two or more Wikipedia articles may use the same source for a reference. - I do not believe this band passes WP:BAND as they are not signed to any label, have not charted any albums, and have not won any awards. At the very least they fail criterion #2, #3, #5, #6, and #8 through #12. I haven't delved deep enough into finding sources enough to see if they pass #1, #4, and #7 though. They are also not listed on Billboard as an artist, and their lone release to date is not listed on there, so my feeling is they fail WP:GNG as well at this time.

- Going by what ArcAngel says, the article would be deleted if moved to mainspace at the moment. However, you should continue to work on the article in your user space. If the band gets a breakthrough, and then meets WP:BAND, then the article can be moved to mainspace, fully formed and compliant with all the normal policies etc. Mjroots (talk) 08:35, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
