Driver articles
[edit]I have no problem accepting that I'm unlikely to win this debate, but you're being dismissive rather than constructive. I advise you adjust your attitude for future discussions. MSportWiki (talk) 13:21, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
- @MSportWiki That's unfair. It's unanswered, so if you say this because the Icelandic driver question was a toughie for you to defend the proposal, then there is nothing wrong with my attitude. I had a constructive point about biases and believe this shows your own. Rally Wonk (talk) 17:17, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
- "The debates would be interminable and never attain consensus", "That's wishful thinking", "I don't care" is not constructive - especially when people were actively trying to take part in the discussion. As for Guðmundsson, the outcome of said article doesn't bother me as I don't have a conflict of interest - indeed, you assuming and insinuating I lack the intellectual ability to maintain a mature debate proves my point. - @MSportWiki, OK thanks for being clear. Rally Wonk (talk) 16:34, 3 October 2023 (UTC)

Printsport moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Printsport. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:02, 25 October 2023 (UTC)

CIK-FIA Karting
[edit]Hi!
I just wanted to thank you for sorting out the CIK-FIA page I had begun working on yesterday. If you're interested, I have also completely re-worked the European Championship page if you would like to lend your expertise to the history and missing details. I also plan on extending this to the World Championship page, both of which had been in a relatively poor state: rife with jargon and unclear linearity between different categories. Individual category articles are also on the radar, I've already started OK and its preceding classes. The list of kart racing championships has been re-written entirely and I plan to complete all those listed in time. Mb2437 (talk) 21:15, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Mb2437, thank you, it's nice to be appreciated. I was inspired by your edits. I had been improving FIA's article itself and was wondering whether to propose redirecting articles like the FISA, CIK and FIA World Motor Sport Council. But as there is interest from somebody else to put some worthy content into these, it helps show the article can be improved. I don't think there's much I can add to the other karting articles.
- Just to explain why I changed the short description and intro: the CIK is only a working commission; the WMSC hold the sporting authority for decision making and the FIA is still the government body with its licensing and courts, etc. Beware that other international karting organisations exist too, FIA doesn't hold a monopoly on karting. I wouldn't say the CIK itself is therefore "the primary governing body". Although I agree it was wordy. Rally Wonk (talk) 22:18, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
