SugoiCon

[edit]

Hi, and thanks for your comments and support of our convention in the current debate. I am not the original author of the Sugoi article, but I am on convention staff, and I wanted to get your advice on how to clean up the article and prevent trolls from arbitrarily campaigning for our deletion in the future.

I agree that there are some writing style issues with the page in its current form...what kind of information can we provide to substantiate what we do?Rajah d 04:44, 14 October 2007 (UTC)rajah_d[reply]

The first step would be to find as many news articles about the convention as possible and use them to source what is already there. In it's current state, the article is completely unreferenced outside of the table. Any unused sources should go to the talk page for future reference. Any information in which there are no published sources should be removed.
Unfortunately, because you are staff, it is going to make it more difficult to edit the article. It's one of the reasons I rarely touch the article on Tsubasacon since last October. Read over Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guideline first before doing any extensive editing. And try to find non-staff/non-volunteer members to help edit and improve the article. --Farix (Talk) 11:49, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Sugoicon logo 2-3.png

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Sugoicon logo 2-3.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 02:23, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Will replacing the logo on the current SugoiCon article with the new one satisfy the issue? Rajah d (talk) 04:37, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently so. Rajah d (talk) 13:46, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
