jeez, i put the table up so people can know about what sort of tactical aids are in the game. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, giving information. all i'm doing is putting up information on World In Conflict. it seems everytime i do something to the World In Conflict wikipage, ur always taking huge chunks of it off. Of course wikipedia is not a game manual. The table being up there doesn't make it a game guide or manual. A game manual is one of those from Prima Game Guides of Brady Game Guides. get over it! Mate, i'm puting the recommended retail price which is the official pricing given from sierra entertainment. Its been confirmed by most of the shops and i have the official link which massive and sierra entertainment state the official rrp. I'm tryin to give people an idea of how much the price is. Shops dont overprice, they either underprice the rrp or remain the same as the rrp. I'm providing information to the public, alot of people get their information from wikipedia. Many people, myself included, believe Resistance: Fall of Man is a killer application and does excel in many ways. These people haven't soley, but mainly, bought this system to play this game. Hey, if you think the article is subjective, as you said concerning the PES game, then what makes you the decider on what games are in and out, if it is said to be so subjective. Also, you say that you trust gamespot above all others who have reviewed games. The Resistance game has gotten the same review from gamespot as Liberty City Stories, which is also considered a Killer App. Another Wikipedia page states that the game has sold over 2 million units, which is more that half of the number of PS3s that have been bought. This is a larger percentage than the numer of Gears of Wars that have been sold with the 360. There were also 10 million sales of 360s before the release of Gears of War. This number has not drastically improved as you have said a Killer App should do. I am not speaking of sales. I am speaking of percentage, much harder to obtain than sales, and that percentage says more than half of the people who own PS3's own Resistance: Fall of Man. Gears of War sold 3 million copies. The XBOX 360 sold 11 million copies before the release of gears of War. This means that gears of war was not the main reason these people bought the console, which is what you say a Killer App is. Not to worry, we all make mistakes while learning (see my early contributions for plenty of examples :-). This is in fact a great example of why we should be careful about speedying articles - this is turning into a good article that adds to Wikipedia - I never knew about the Brennus Shield before, now I do. Sims 2 Cheat Bugs

I see that back in June of 2006, you took out the section on bugs related to cheats for The Sims 2. However, since cheats are used frequently by players, shouldn't there be some way of warning users what the risks of using certain cheats are?

The two I added were: Door-Clone Glitch and Boddler Glitch. I've been placing the documentation on my own personal Wiki site about the Boddler Glitch, which causes the secondary condition BI-SWILS. It's part of a condition in the game that is more significant, which is documented here.

Hannibal Rising (film)‎

I think your deletion of some external links is questionable. I am opposed to linkspam and have reverted much of it myself. But to delete a link because it's not "official" is ambiguous and possibly unnecessary. What is an "official" website? With a film, for example, does "official" only mean the official website for the film? That would drastically limit the number of acceptable external links for most Wikipedia pages. I don't delete links that are not intended primarily for advertising. Even IMDb pages have advertising, but links to IMDb are quite legitimate. If a link goes to a website that has little or nothing about the subject and is loaded with advertising, that's linkspam. But one of your deletions was to a legitimate review of the film; it may have had some advertising, but no more than IMDb.

Polyhedron

Hi, thanks for the response.

The thing about polyhedra is that they are not just a cut-and-dried family of geometric shapes. They are mathematical objects - the word was coined by Greek mathematicians over 2,000 years ago, and pretty much any book on polyhedra is de facto a mathematical textbook.

The definition given at the very start is just that - a starting-point. It is also extremely imprecise, which is the reason why mathematicians have been arguing about it pretty much ever since. One can regard "polyhedron" as an ambiguous word which has come to mean many different things, with meanings changing and being added to progressively over the centuries as our understanding developed. The more important of these are introduced on the polyhedron page. I do indeed think it important to make this plasticity of meaning clear in the introduction. Branko Grünbaum's remark is well known among the cognoscenti, in part because it summarises the situation so well and in part because it was this remark that re-invigorated the modern theories of polyhedra and polytopes, especially of abstract polytopes.

You say, "Also, no sources." Yet this ambiguity of meaning is discussed in Cromwell (referenced) and of course by Grünbaum (also referenced), so I do not understand where your remark is coming from. (AIUI there is no need to cite sources inline unless a statement is contentious, and at least among the experts the statements you removed are well appreciated).

You also say that the phrases "Oft-quoted" and "seldom respected" are both pov statements. I don't know what "pov" means, but I understand your point about sources for these. I have no handy reference - beyond the painfully slow collection of papers quoting Grünbaum's remark as I re-read them, I cannot support these value judgements - and some of the context which shaped my phrasing may even be unpublished. So while "oft-quoted" can in time be supported (by multiple citations amounting to 'often'), I am not sure if the "seldom-respected" bit can be referenced (though it is well enough discussed among the experts). So whether these phrases need modifying must depend on how keen a policy enforcer you are, and where you draw the line between policy interpretation and accuracy of statement.

Your removal of the Taiwanese (republic of China) release date, and the reason stating that it was not relevant was racist. How can you say that it is not relevant. Hopefully, not too many, uh, Cro-Magnons (my word for more primitive thinking) give you a hard time about it. I don't feel that everything should be alphabetized. Mass Effect : Xbox 360 version is *released* and the Windows version is *upcoming*. Stop removing the link. Sega did not publish the game in Japan, so this is Nintendo's official website for the game. If you want to be technical, the guideline allows this. No problem. I think a lot of people either don't know that or forgot since Nintendo is only publishing it in Japan (maybe the rest of Asia, I don't know). I raised the question about what to do if a game is published by different companies, should we include the official site that each of the publishers set up? There are many occasions where a game will be published by a different company depending on the region (even first party, Nintendo chose to let Atlus publish "Cubivore" outside of Japan for example).
