List of Puerto Ricans

[edit]

Hello "Rags". Nice to see you aroumd. Your name was removed from the "list of Puerto Ricans" because the "rules" of inclussion were not followed. You can re-add your name once more, but you must cite and provide a reliable verifiable source which proofs your claim to notability and that proofs your Puerto Rican heritage. Personal websites are not accepted as sources nor are sites such as Facebook, IMdB, Myspace etc. By, the way, out of curiosity, I noticed that your bio in Wikipedia does not include anything of your early years, nor does it mention your Puerto Rican heritage. You may want to look into that. Tony the Marine (talk) 05:34, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rags Morales article

[edit]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edits to Rags Morales, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edits had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept unsourced material or original research. This includes material lacking cited sources, or obtained through personal knowledge or unpublished synthesis of previously published material. Wikipedia requires that all material added to articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. If you have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. :-) Nightscream (talk) 00:49, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Response

[edit]

Thank you for your message in my "Talk page". You questions are valid. You see Rags, it is the rules which we must follow. We relie on verifiable reliable sources in order to make sure that any additions are the truth and not the work of a vandal (There are many of those). This is our way of protecting the article and the integrety of our project. We do not even know if you are whom you claim to be. I believe you to be of Puerto Rican heritage like myself. You can add your name to the "list", however cite and provide a site as to your claim to notabilaty. If you are notable then this shouldn't be a problem. I imagine that there are newspaper articles or magazines who have interview you or mentioned your work.

On another note, yes I am a former Marine who is now dedicated to writing about Puerto Ricans who have made positrive contributions to society and preserving our history. Take care. Tony the Marine (talk) 05:07, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

    • In regard to your new question on my "talk page". Since we don't make the rules, just follow them, I suggest that you ask the people that do. Go over Here and post all of your questions in regard to Wikipedia policy and your article. Tony the Marine (talk) 14:44, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Lending a hand

[edit]

O.K., Rags as I said before, I don't doubt you, but rules must be followed. I went on and lent you a hand. I re-added your name to the "list" with a source. Good luck in your career, make us "Boricuas" proud. Tony the Marine (talk) 21:22, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
