Warning
You have chosen to acuse my of vandalism on my user page. This is a serious and unfounded accusation. Kindly bother to read the edits I made. I removed people who are non noteable by wiki standards in an effort to strengthen the article.
Any intelligent person reading my edits, and the corresponding summaries would clearly see they are good-faith edits. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.161.126.73 (talk) 01:12, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi there, I the reason why I added information and reverted it back after you changed it is because the links from the CRTC are a part of the history of the station, including additional information on the station(s). Please do not revert the CKOB page again. Thank you! :-)

Why did you call my edits "Vandalism" when I was working on cleaning the article up? 216.221.109.156 (talk) 21:20, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Re: speedy deletion
I have removed the request for speedy deletino for the disambiguation page, 'Francis MacDonald' as it does exist. I set up the redirect and then immediately wrote the page, you must have seen it very quickly. Boleyn (talk) 19:17, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for removing it for me. I noticed you had created the other page and was going to revert but it was already gone. It may be a good idea in the future to create the page before the redirect. Happy editing! Alexfusco5 19:21, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

I suggest we start with a copy of the current Main Page, called Wikipedia:2008 main page redesign proposal/Main Page Draft, and through edits and discussion transform it via consensus into the new Main Page that will be proposed to the community for final approval. Competitions won't work (we tried that last time), because submissions that are only slightly different from each other will divide the vote between them which will drive their basic common design out of the competition, obscuring its support as well as support for particular design elements. Each new design element or change needs to be discussed on the talk page of the community-developed draft, to arrive at a consensus for each as to whether it should be included or not, and what each design element should look like. We need to literally get on the same page and integrate the best features of all those wonderful designs that have been submitted. Let the edit wars editing and discussion begin! :) The Transhumanist 01:23, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Hello, Radon210! Wikipedia:2008 main page redesign proposal was recently cleared of all design entries. You may want to re-enter your design(s), based on the details here. (You can see the old list of designs here). NOTE: A survey was conducted on what users wanted to see in the new main page, you can see the results here. Re: ACC
No, I will tell you exactly what I done. Firstly I defered to admin, because I had tried creating and I was told it was too similar to an account of the same name, with no log. So, I defered to users and then hit taken. That was it. I didn't click reset. I actually thought I had finally got it right. But then I got suspended, but this time I don't know how that happen. The only time I saw the request in the closed box, was when I put it there (when I clicked Taken). Right now - very confused. Olly150 22:00, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'll make better use of bypassing the cache Olly150 22:13, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

- Don't worry, I've fixed the problem. Just note from now on you can click "Reset Request" and fix it yourself ;) Alexfusco5 23:11, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Date autoformatting
WRT to your comments at MOSNUM, you may be interested in reading this, which did the rounds some time ago:
- (1) In-house only
- (a) It works only for registered (Wikipedian) users who have set their date preferences and are logged in.
- (b) To our readers out there, it displays all-too-common inconsistencies in raw formatting in bright-blue underlined text, yet conceals them from WPians who are logged in and have chosen preferences.
- (2) Avoids what are merely trivial differences
- (a) It is trivial whether the order is day–month or month–day. It is more trivial than color/colour and realise/realize, yet our consistency-within-article policy on spelling (WP:ENGVAR) has worked very well. English-speakers readily recognise both date formats; all dates after our signatures are international, and no one objects.
- (3) Colour-clutter: the bright-blue underlining of all dates
- (a) It dilutes the impact of high-value links.
- (b) It makes the text slightly harder to read.
- (c) It doesn't improve the appearance of the page.
- (4) Typos and misunderstood coding
- (a) There's a disappointing error-rate in keying in the auto-function; not bracketing the year, and enclosing the whole date in one set of brackets, are examples.
- (b) Once autoformatting is removed, mixtures of US and international formats are revealed in display mode, where they are much easier for WPians to pick up than in edit mode; so is the use of the wrong format in country-related articles.
- (c) Many WPians don't understand date-autoformatting—in particular, how it differs from ordinary linking; often it's applied simply because it's part of the furniture.
- (5) Edit-mode clutter
- (a) It's more work to enter an autoformatted date, and it doesn't make the edit-mode text any easier to read for subsequent editors.
- (6) Limited application
- (a) It's incompatible with date ranges ("January 3–9, 1998", or "3–9 January 1998", and "February–April 2006") and slashed dates ("the night of May 21/22", or "... 21/22 May").
- (b) By policy, we avoid date autoformatting in such places as quotations; the removal of autoformatting avoids this inconsistency.
Tony (talk) 03:49, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comments, but some editors may prefer to see the date the way they want. Those who don't care and are against it can always turn the preference off. Alexfusco5 20:18, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- It is not about whether one wants it or not, though. There is a clear consensus at the RfCs to not link dates. Dabomb87 (talk) 01:51, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- Also, IP readers (the vast majority of our readership) cannot "turn their preferences off" and are forced to see the date formatting inconsistencies. Dabomb87 (talk) 01:54, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- Well as I suggested on bugzilla a non-linking date syntax with a default for IP users will likely solve the outstanding problems Alexfusco5 02:06, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, if autoformatting is deemed absolutely necessary through the RfCs, then the bugzilla patch will be a welcome replacement. Dabomb87 (talk) 02:17, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
- Well some patch will probably be committed to mediawiki because this isn't the only site that uses it. We can still however choose not to use it Alexfusco5 02:47, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Last I checked, "[a]ny good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism." New sig, i'll just put it on your guestbook to replace it with my old pice o' shit one...
PS; I'm number 39
You have me flagged as a suspect about something I don't know. What's with that? I have been researching in Wikipedia for a few years. Just found a glaring error in my area of my expertise, and because YOU say I abused an article about someone I've never heard of and don't care about, I can't join WIKIPEDIA and change that error?

Help concerning Annoying User
I saw that you were an Active member of the user warning program and thought you could help me out with user: Jeffro77. He keeps editing and posting agressive comments on my page, I got tired o treating him like as an adult so I started annoying him back, I apologize I know it was wrong but he won't stop. He closely monitors my contributions to several pages specially the contributions towards a group of people called Jehova's Witnesses and always modifies or undo all my edits even though they are right. By my history you can see how I began to erase opinions (since wikipedia as a online encyclopedia looks for facts), harmful statements towards Jehova's Witness and other people that include wrong citations or no citations or references at all. Jeffro77 keeps leaving comments under my page and editing or undoing what I have rightfully deleted according to wikipedia standards and guidelines I myself have annoyed him as well but only under my page. I just want someone with some sort of authority to tell him to concentrate on editing rather on attacking or aggravating other users and their comments. Thankyou in advanceWladimir Bravo (talk) 18:57, 2 July 2009 (UTC)Wladimir Bravo
- You should probably post to WP:AN about that and get help from an admin because I'm just an ordinary user and have no special authority. Alexfusco5 20:01, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- I specifically stated to User:Wladimir Bravo at the outset that: "it is appropriate to remove unsourced or unverifiable material", and I have not undone any of the user's edits where such information has been removed. The JW project articles are in my watchlist, so I inherently "closely monitor" edits to those pages. See the user's misrepresentation of references at Jehovah's Witnesses[1], the history of Wladimir Bravo's talk page for their inappropriate actions regarding changing my previous comments, as well as the history of my userpage where the user impersonated an admin by posting a 'blocked' template. A vandalism intervention notice has already been placed.--Jeffro77 (talk) 22:46, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Account creation
Can you give me a brief tutorial on the account creation process? Like how can I know the password the user want, etc. In addition, I think I have messed some process up. --Tyw7 (Talk • Contributions) 03:06, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, no problem. You should probably start by reading the documentation and if you're still confused after that, feel free to come back to this page and ask me any specific questions that you'd like to have answered. As for the question regarding passwords you should leave the password field blank and click "by email" (make sure you are logged in while creating accounts). Alexfusco5 00:03, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
