Notes on Sikh Feminism
[edit]The article was easy to understand on the first read and is well built from the beginning with an overall good structure; it meets the word count. Even though it is only a first draft it already consists of imagery and well placed hyperlinks. The number of 33 citations exhibits intense research by the author and good understanding is demonstrated by the writer throughout the article. Regarding that wikipedia articles are being viewed internationally, the example of the Sikh man being forced to remove his turban in the RCMP could be expanded to encompass a broader topic, such as (bad example) Sikh religious practice in the workplace etc. To expand this critique, all examples related to Canada can be support with international examples as well (Ie. the immigrating Sikh people part of the Caste System paragraph). Reading about the North American Non-Profit organization SAFAR, it occurred to me that the focus of this article could specifically address Sikh Feminism in Canada and furthermore relate it to Canadian historical and contemporary points; Over all, very good first draft. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maximilian Brey (talk • contribs) 04:39, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
