Request reason:

It was my first try to write in Wikipedia and I was not aware event what to do. I tried to create a page about a business while I was not aware of the rules and conditions. (as I said, it was first time.) After writing I tried to submit and then got blocked. Unblocking helps me to try to contribute, this time after reading all the rules. Now I have read about conflict of interest and other rules. Raaminf (talk) 06:07, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I'm unwilling to unblock you to just make conflict of interest related edits. You may make another request and attempt to convince another administrator to or tell what you will edit about that is unrelated. 331dot (talk) 09:18, 1 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

.

Please explain how those rules relate to your edits. 331dot (talk) 09:14, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Based on the rules, Since I'm "being paid for contributions to Wikipedia, I must declare who is paying me, who the client is, and any other relevant role or relationship." This must be done on user page and talk page. The reason is the conflict of interest. So all reader should be aware of that conflict of interest. I will consider this rule and other related rules in the future.

What edits do you wish to make that are unrelated to any conflict of interest that you have? You may comply with the paid editing policy on this page. 331dot (talk) 09:15, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As you may understand from my career on my Linkedin, there are several topics in the petroleum industry that are missing in Wikipedia that I may contribute. Examples include: Exploration & Production (E&P) and Oilfield Services (OFS) industries, Petroleum Resources Classification, list of famous oil companies, ...

I think there is a misunderstanding. I was not trying to be unblocked to review/edit that same page (Petroview.) I want to be unblocked to edit other pages which I'm not related to them and there is no conflict of interest at all.

If you are going to declare a paid editing relationship, I assume the entity paying you is related to the oil industry in some way- that would be a conflict of interest. Please read either the conflict of interest policy or this plain language explanation of it. In any event, you are welcome to make a new request for another administrator to review. 331dot (talk) 07:59, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It may also help for you to link to your LinkedIn account or any other place where you offer paid editing services. 331dot (talk) 08:00, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please consider this: I've previously reviewed the pages. I'm not going to edit anything related to me, at all. I'm not a paid writer. (In that case I will carefully obey the related rules.) As I understand writing about the oil industry is not a conflict of interest and I'm not being paid for that. Any one knows some industry and I know this one. This is not a conflict of interest. BTW it would be great to know how to say these arguments to other administrator who may help me. I'm not trying to write about anything related to me. Thank you.

What relationship do you have with PetroView? 331dot (talk) 08:15, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm directly related to company as stakeholder. While I was editing the page I was not aware of the rules. But now I'm aware. So I will not edit any thing related to that page, or any thing that may have COI. In any case I'm aware about the rules since I've read them. But I do not know while I know the rules and even not trying to do any edits in subjects that I have COI, why I'm blocked?

You should make another unblock request; for fairness, someone else will look at it. 331dot (talk) 10:33, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
