Pictures

[edit]

RMajouji, I would like to warn you about my intention to remove your picture from the Van Helsing page. I have stated my reasons in the talk page.

I see that you have uploaded multiple pictures to Wikipedia, admirable work to be sure, but I would request that you put more thought into your pictures and certainly your composition. While some pictures (the one of the Wall Street sign for instance) are very well taken and add to the article, some do not. (f.i. the New York Water Taxi)

I encourage you to be bold and keep adding to Wikipedia and to support the project in any way you deem best, and would like to hear your thoughts on this. Feel free to reply on my talk page

Sincerely, Vadigor 23:14, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wall Street image

[edit]

Hi RMajouji!

I started to write a Wall Street article in the Hungarian Wikipedia and I would like to use the Wall Street.JPG picture there. If you don't mind I move it to Wikimedia Commons, so it can be available to other wikipedias, too. Please contact me if you have any objection. Thanks, Hu:Totya (talk!) 21:08, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An image that you uploaded, Image:Yoko Ono Sculpture.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. James086Talk | Email 02:44, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Starbucks cup.JPG

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Starbucks cup.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:10, 26 August 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:10, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with File:Hulk sculpture.jpg

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Hulk sculpture.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:59, 5 September 2023 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Matr1x-101 (Ping me when replying) {user page (@ commons) - talk} 12:59, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
