Absolute Worst list
Thanks for the talk page message. Your revert is fair enough - especially if you're willing to discuss. The thing is, this factoid is being added to dozens of college articles that made the list. For many of them it constitutes undue weight for the article, and with almost of all of them it's just sourced to the Campus Pride website. So I've reverted a number of these additions, but I realize Criswell College is different, since the listing was actually reported in a reliable secondary source (the Dallas Morning News). So I'm OK with that one staying in. Pinging Jno.skinner (talk · contribs) who added it in. StAnselm (talk) 05:08, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
- I also noticed that a lot of the college campuses are being added from that one source and I definitely think finding an article based on a source holds a lot less water from an editing standpoint than finding a source for a particular college. I'm in favor of reverting most of the others as well. Maybe we could hear Jno.skinner (talk · contribs)'s thought process going into that. But like you said, I think the secondary source is indicative that this rating might be popular enough to warrant inclusion on this particular article. Thank you for discussing this with me! - Thanks for the discussion. I may have gone overboard. I can see the argument that the "absolute worst" list is not notable enough when 1.) not reflected in a reliable secondary source, and 2.) not within a "rankings" portion of an article. And, that it is less notable than Title IX status. I've removed the item in a number of cases. Jno.skinner (talk) 14:31, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
- OK, thanks! StAnselm (talk) 15:31, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
