Conflict of interest

[edit]

Hi R&BDiva! Could you please read Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide? You should not be editing articles about your husband, especially by adding information about yourself. Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 05:03, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

GoingBatty: Not to worry. I'm done with Wikipedia. I have at least a dozen researched and referenced bios on other R&B artists. I just started with my DEAD EX-HUSBAND whom I've been writing about since 1974. But I don't dare to publish the other ones for fear that I'm wrong because I personally knew the person. Which is hard not to do after 40+ years in the record industry. Remove entries about me because I really don't need to be in the public eye. I'm just concerned about the murdered father of my children who still struggle with the unsolved case. I use Wikipedia in my research and I can't begin to tell you how much of the data is inaccurate or biased. In the future if there is misinformation about my husband, I will contact you and let you handle it. No conflict there...... Thanks for your help anyway.

By the way, there is nothing "Plain and Simple" about Wiki's guidelines. They are not geared towards normal lay persons. — Preceding unsigned comment added by R&BDiva (talkcontribs) 17:22, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again! I just spent an hour on my talk page doing my best to respond to your requests for assistance and working together, so it is quite disappointing to see what you've written here.
Per your request, I removed the information about you that you inserted into the articles about your husband and his band.
As I suggested on my talk page, when you find inaccurate or biased information (whether it is about your husband or anyone else), the best place to start is on the article's talk page. However, feel free to let me know if that doesn't work for you.
Any specific feedback you could provide about Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 03:25, 5 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
