Wiki Farms
FYI, the whole point of the article I am writing is on why we should not fear citing wikipedia. Thus, just to stay in theme I cite wikipedia even when I would generally cite a different source. Writing that objection was the wrong thing for me to do. The reason why some courts have held that facts on wikipedia come from sources whose authority cannot be reasonably question is because of wikipedia's strong notoriety policies. My objection undercut my argument. Good job in removing junk from this site and keep up the good work. – Morscs5 22:21, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

FYI: Your vandal warning to Byxakissaren
Just FYI: on Feb 12th, User:Byxakissaren changed your level-2 warning to a level-1 warning. I suspect he was being a "fake" vandal (since he vandalized the Wikipedia:Vandalism page) to make a point (perhaps a teacher to a class), but I thought you might like to know about the change he did to your warning. Infinite bans et cetera
Fair enough, but we really should come down hard on unreasonable beheaviour. Any reverts or abuse on someone's user page, any use of crude or vulger language, and any disruptive beheavour more than twice (edits, vandalism, and all the above) should be dealt with straight away as these people are not going to change their beheaviour. They will continue to be intolerable, and we should likewise not tolerate them.
Also, see the comments following your own. Worth thinking about.
I did'nt always feel quite this venhement, but enough is enough; I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore. Fergananim 12:56, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

Broken user summaries by User:ArglebargleIV
Wow, that's pretty spectacularly broken. Something's screwy with popups, it seems. Thanks for letting me know about it -- think I'll fix it in the morning. When that many summaries go by and I don't even notice it, it's time to call it a night. Again, THANKS! -- ArglebargleIV 06:30, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Regular contributor on Wikipedia
The other fellow who was monitoring Favicon also removed the link from the nifty Adobe Photoshop plugin I provided last night. He has evidently left it alone for the time being. I put the link back on the page, because in my experience as a web designer, it has made the creation of favicons extremely convenient. I happen to create favicons sometimes as a hobby and have accumulated numerous pages with them (using the Adobeshop plugin). He did not feel he could take my word on my college background or the recommendation I was giving, so I provided links to Deans list just as he requested, in PDF format. I have added those to my wiki userpage if there are any questions. Edwardtbabinski I have known of that particular download (Adobe Plugin) since 2004, and it has always been spyware free, it's free for public software (GNU Licensing), like Wikipedia, they rely solely on donations, and have been good enough to provide their software for free. Now, I had taken notice in the talk section at one time a link was provided to free downloadable favicons -- but the link was broken and there was some debate to remove the link or not. I have several pages with royalty-free favicon downloads (spyware free, zip format) including a favicon blog, favicon webring anyone is welcomed to join, and an alternate site (http://www.artscape.us/) which I'm slowly adding pages to utilizing html color codes as a guide for website backgrounds / color coordination, and some of those have favicons as well. I put those on the web, just to help people, because I am aware some people may not be able afford the software that's required to design a site professionally, or how to properly fix the 404 error / missing favicon. If they use one they find on the web, they risk copyright infringement. I have had positive things said about the free downloads on several sites over time. The favicons I provide only need to be downloaded, renamed to favicon.ico and uploaded to their own site. I would be truly grateful if you could be so courteous as to put Free Favicons Downloads, Royalty Free Favicons back on the Favicon wiki page. Posted by Sharon Mooney
- Sorry, but if there are other people removing the link, I'm definitely not going to put it back. I don't want to get drawn into an edit war. I'm not questioning or supporting the usefulness or otherwise of your website and software, nor am I particularly interested in the details of said software, so I'm likely to ignore any attempt to feed me detailed information. :) Thanks – Qxz 17:49, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. I understand. Then, I simply put the link back. In my experience with web design, I know it will make a useful addition on subject of favicons, being spyware free and my own original creations for public access (Avoiding copyright infringement). Posted by Sharon Mooney

AfD nomination of Afrikaans Wikipedia
An editor has nominated Afrikaans Wikipedia, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Articles on invidiual Wikipedia language editions and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. As per my AfD's all being named Adam - I am currently going through the Unassessed articles in the WPBiography project and upgrading most to stubs, but there a few that lack any notability and as such I have nominated for deletion. --Ozgod 04:15, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

- I did one for you, so only another 135,255 and you'll be done. I was thinking, isn't this the sort of thing that could be done by a bot? It wouldn't be able to check for notability, but it could check if the article had a stub tag, and upgrade it to a stub if so. Might save you some work – Qxz 04:25, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm not so sure about this, but I think 24.107.112.243's latest contribution [4] was a newbie's test. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he mistook the article with the talk page. Seeing his IP adress didn't have any comments, he must be new.--Orthologist 14:40, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Yes, you're absolutely right. I was just checking for vandalism, and only noticed the above change. Of course, it was perfectly normal to warn him after what he did. Sorry for the misunderstanding.--Orthologist 14:47, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
