So who's the puppet master?
Aabrucadubraa (talk · contribs) has been here since the 12th. ClenserBlastAaa (talk · contribs) only created today, but posts to a talk page manually signing as Aabrucadubraa.[1]. Then there's 100.44.112.221 (talk · contribs), posting only to insult. That IP gelocates near the IP claiming to be Santilli.70.125.25.14 (talk · contribs). I've added them to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Zkurko. Dougweller (talk) 21:57, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
- Hey Dougweller, I have no information about what this investigation is, but in general context I would suggest you get a life of your own rather than researching and investigating what others are editing and creating, unless they are causing some serious disruption to wikipedia. It is far more constructive to research articles and write new information than researching people's accounts. I do not intend to cause any ill feelings but this message is in some good intent alone so we could make better use of our time in a more efficient and constructive manner.
Marchoctober (talk) 09:34, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
- Marchoctober, You clearly aren't aware of the disruption, attacks on Jews, attacks on Wikipedians, etc that are behind all this. Another Admin has blocked these accounts. Do you really think we should just ignore blatant anti-Semitic posts on talk pages (as an example of what this group of socks or meatpuppets has been doing)? Dougweller (talk) 09:41, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
- Dougweller is absolutely correct here, and you're completely out of line, Marchoctober. Santilli and/or his close associates have been, for several years, attempting to transform his Wikipedia article (and associated articles) into pieces supporting and promoting his scientific theory. This scientific theory has almost no support within the scientific community, his results have not been replicated outside of people directly associated with him, and he has published almost nothing on his theories in independent, peer-reviewed journals. Now, that promotion, ultimately, isn't all that bad; it's no different than a company trying to make its Wikipedia article look like a piece of advertising, and it's easily dealt with. But in addition to all of that, Santilli and/or his associates want his Wikipedia article to reflect, as fact, his claim that the only reason his theories aren't widely accepted is because there is a vast, world-wide web of Jewish scientists who want to promote Einstein and repress all dissenting voices. A number of Wikipedia editors have been accused of being part of this global conspiracy. And that is absolutely unacceptable and needs to stop as soon as possible and as often as needed, because we're not going to be the mouthpiece for anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. So Dougweller and any other editor who thinks that they can help in this matter is welcome and encouraged to do so.
- But even your underlying critique is flawed. Wikipedia needs people of many different types working on it. I, for example, don't do very much article expansion. I have at times in the past, but since I don't have access to a lot of sources and I don't have a lot of time to commit to extended research, I now spend far more time editing existing articles, removing non-neutral poorly sourced junk, and dealing with administrative matters. If you want to work on building and creating new articles (or expanding existing ones) then that's absolutely great--we need content creators, we need content editors, we need administrators, we need policy-wonks, etc. If all of us gave up administrative tasks and focused solely on expanding articles, half of the encyclopedia would collapse in days, as articles were overrun with vandals and POV-pushers, constantly warring with other POV-pushers. Part of the "cost" of having Wikipedia open to anyone who wants to edit it is that we have to take a lot of effort to deal with edits made with improper intentions. So Dougweller, and I, are using our Wikipedia time in "efficient and constructive manner[s]", to use your phrase. Qwyrxian (talk) 12:23, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
- Greatly appreciate the efforts taken to explain all the above so patiently in detail, I will agree with you based on the above explanation.Marchoctober (talk) 12:52, 15 December 2013 (UTC)

Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan
There has been an effort again by User:Joshua Jonathan to show the personality in less light, please see here., I haveundone him . Especially because this particular information is sourced and also been on this wiki page from ages. Please see the talk page also where he explained doing so to show the personality in a more down to earth manner. Also for some reason removed multiple links, not mentioning anything why he did so either on talk page or in description of is edit. Marchoctober (talk) 08:38, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
- Enough!!! This has been thoroughly explained and discussed at the Talk Page, in a discussion between User:Abecedare and me. Marchoctober has had plent of opportunity to participate, which he did not do. His one source only calls Radhakrishnan a "great scholar", and does not support the rest of the sentence. And my change was also sourced. The links were removed because I'd copied part of the lead to the Talk Page, to write a proposal for a change in the lead. I hadn't noticed it was without links, yet this no good reason to revert. They can be re-inserted quite easily, can't they?
- By the way, are you a reincarnation of User:Padmalakshmisx? Last edit at Cinema of Andhra Pradesh by User:Wheelwat at 8 november 2012, while User:Kondakotaiah starts at 9 november 2012, with the same interest in the Cinema of Andhra Pradesh.

FYI
Hi Qwirxian. I see another round of nerving edit-conflicts coming up. The editor in question has been active using the following accounts (as far as I can see):
- 81.106.127.14 (10 nov 2011 - present)
- 81.107.150.246 (11 nov 2010 - 2 oct 2011)
- Langdell (4 april 2010 (one edit))
- 81.109.10.218 (4 feb 2009 - 23 nov 2009)
- 81.106.115.153 (25 nov 2009 - 6 july 2010)
- 81.109.11.33 (2 july 2008 user-account Langdell and IP - 1 jan 2009)
- Langdell (7 aug 2005 - 21 oct 2008 / 4 april 2010 (one edit))
Typical for his style of editing is:
- the range of topics (eastern spirituality, for example Radhakrishnan (diff diff diff diff ), Dharma (previous accusation) and Brahman);
- the perennialist view he tries to push, based on his own observations;
- the rewriting of leads (and the subsequent reversions by others);
- persistent original research (Arhat (Buddhism): OR response discussion)(Buddha-nature: OR response);
- the persistent use of the "oxford Encyclopdia of world Religions" as his main source diff;
- the agressive and arrogant attitude toward other editors, see Dharma, Spirituality, Zen and Mahayana.
- Typical is also the repeated reference to "as a published author in the field", "As the editor of a recent book on Buddhism", etc diff.
I've shared my concerns before with an editor I highly appreciate. I'm sorry to "denounce" (is that the correct word?) again, and if necessary I'll give additional diffs, but I'm really fed up with this guy, so I thought it might be good to let you know. Hello Qwyrxian, Please take a look at Sitush's talk page. I request yourself and Sitush to handle issues with Vellalar article, wherein the problem is between Rajkris and me. I was hoping Sitush wud rewrite three articles, Vellalars, Velirs and intro section of Kshatriya factually. However, Sitush has a medical procedure in the offing. Msoamu is back, restoring deleted pages
Hey man, not sure if you remember this guy but Msoamu is back. He's already restored at least two articles which were deleted during his topic ban, including an organization for which his screen name seems to be a conflict of interest. During his topic ban, he did not edit anything nor did he seek any mentors; he has displayed no change of heart or increased understanding of policies (his recreation of deleted articles already seems like a big problem).
I just wanted to ask your advice before I interact with him. The recreated articles are obviously an issue to be dealt with, but given his history do you think something can be said to him now as a preventative measure against further POV pushing (given that about half a dozen people commented on his POV becoming a competence problem)? MezzoMezzo (talk) 12:12, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
Doesn't the creation of these articles on the 21st break his topic ban which seems to have ended on the 24th. I've found copyvio in one article. Dougweller (talk) 16:54, 29 December 2013 (UTC)- And most of Muslim Students Organization of India MSO was copied from the sources. There is probably more but I have stuff to do that is less mind-numbing. Dougweller (talk) 17:11, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
- User:Dougweller, that's the recreated page; I already nominated it for speedy per the criteria (it was deleted via AfD). I was going to wait for more feedback, but Msoamu's edits are continuing today in the same disruptive fashion; there already seems to be problems with how some redirect pages are working. I'd rather jump in now, in the past he had caused quite a bit of damage before being stopped. MezzoMezzo (talk) 18:06, 1 January 2014 (UTC)

I guess it has come back to that, but at this point I might wait until tomorrow or after to file an ANI report. I literally have an actual real life headache now, I think it's from this but who knows. MezzoMezzo (talk) 19:22, 1 January 2014 (UTC)

The Como Brothers Band Deletion
Dear Qwyrxian,
I do not understand why The Como Brothers Band Wikipedia page was deleted. I contested the deletion and it appears no one even looked at my objections. I request this page be restored. Read through the page and you will see that all information being relayed can be verified by third party persons. All facts written are referenced and sources are clearly outlined. All material is objective and unbiased. This page was not created for the promotion/advertisement of any person, place or product. It is simply ridiculous that I have no one to contact in matters regarding the deletion of the page. The Wikipedia page is needed to clarify information regarding the nature of the band, history, and its verified web sources. The band needs a source to relay which information is accurate as there have been several discrepancies. The Como Brothers Band has an imdb http://www.imdb.com/name/nm6398859/
It has multiple reviews of their albums and performances from outside parties. To name a few:
- Brian Lion of Under The Gun Review has praised the album, stating, "Pretty much the whole of Baby Steps is catchy as hell".[1]
- Brian Weidy of IX Daily’s reviewed the album, writing, "The Como Brothers Band excels on their debut".[2]
- Joshua Smotherman of Middle Tennessee Music writes, “Baby Steps includes track after track of grade A++ quality songwriting, musicianship, and originality” [3]
- James Wilson of My Random Jukebox speaks of Matt and Andrew’s songwriting abilities, stating, “How the music is put together alongside the catchy lyrics is a credit to their songwriting ability (which I think is their biggest talent)”.[4]
- I Am Entertainment Magazine wrote, “It’s just a matter of time before these guys explode into the mainstream”.[5]
Please help me to resolve this problem. If you can point me to a contact that is capable of recovering deleted page let me know. Thank you. Marissa Smith Bco66209 (talk) 22:19, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

Content removed from Lingua franca
Circa July 2010, you removed a large amount content from Lingua franca. Because it's a low-traffic article, there was no feedback to your comments on the talk page at the time. Looking over what was removed, there appears to be a lot of useful and accurate information in that removed content, although unsourced. I don't have the time at the moment to work through it, let alone wade through the talk archives to reconstruct the reasons for its removal, but perhaps it's worth reconsidering some of that removed content. Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative permissions of users who have been inactive for one year (i.e. administrators who have not made any edits or logged actions in over one year). As a result of this discussion, your administrative permissions will be removed pending your return if you do not return to activity within the next month. If you wish to have these permissions reinstated should this occur, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e. as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised, that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions, and that you have not been inactive for a three year period of time). If you remain inactive for a three year period of time, including the present year you have been inactive, you will need to request reinstatement at WP:RFA. This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. Removal of permissions due to inactivity
Hi Qwyrxian, I've now desysopped you due to your recent inactivity. Thank you very much for your years of service. WormTT(talk) 08:57, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
- @Worm That Turned: there goes another due to off-wiki harassment. I'm probably not long off following: this is an increasingly nasty place and the bigger its profile, the more the real lives of good people are damaged. - Sitush (talk) 09:09, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
- That is a shame. I've bumped into Qwyrxian a number of times and did think it was a great pity he's gone. I hadn't realised there was any off-wiki harassment involved. WormTT(talk) 09:28, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
- I am feeling very sad here. I have also faced off-wiki harassments, and I know where the shoe hurts.
A couple of months ago I started a thread on WP:AN where I talked on real-life protection and safety issues of Wikipedians.
I do not know whether you'll read this or not, I wanted to send you an email too, but currently I am participating in something on this Wiki, for which I need to restrict my off-wiki communications. I'll try after a week.
The relationship between you and me have been a fabulous one so far. I admired your works too. I sincerely hope you'll read this message and come back, sooner or later, when you'll feel comfortable.
Prayers and good wishes for you. Yours sincerely Tito☸Dutta 12:12, 15 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Can you please unlock the haunting hour episode list? I noticed major typo's and the account I used has been banned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.83.60.230 (talk) 02:42, 30 December 2015 (UTC)

Your deletion of Rosetta Code
Back in 2012 you nominated the Rosetta Code article that I wrote for deletion - see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rosetta Code - as apparently not notable enough and managed to convince others to vote accordingly. I have no problem with that and I purposefully withdrawn from voting or commenting as I was obviously convinced about the importance of this subject if I took the time to write the article in the first place. Your nomination resulted in the removal of the article with all my contributions. Then, two years later the subject must have become suddenly notable and the article was created once again but without any sign of my original contributions. I actually forgot about all this but recently a friend was telling me about Rosetta Code showing the Wikipedia article and I smiled that I was actually the one who originally wrote it - only to be told that I am not telling the truth as there is not even a single contribution made by me. If you think that the subject is not notable (yet) then I'm fine that you take steps to have it deleted. But if it becomes notable later then why do you waste the original work that was put into writing the first version of the article? Because you are the one who originally nominated it for deletion and voiced the strongest opinions that resulted in the subsequent deletion, I am now asking you to help in fixing the result of all that mess. Please tell me how my original contributions can be restored and how the edit history can be fixed. Thank you. —Rafał Pocztarski, Rfl (talk | contribs) 09:30, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
