This is being posted on your Talk page where you can receive messages from other Wikipedians and discuss issues and respond to questions. At the end of each message you will see a signature left by the editor posting. This is done by signing with four ~~~~ or by pressing or in the editing interface tool box, located just above the editing window (when editing). Do not sign edits that you make in the articles themselves as those messages will be deleted, but only when using the article talkpage, yours or another editor's talkpage. Another valuable page that may provide information and assistance is User:Persian Poet Gal/"How-To" Guide to Wikipedia. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of people of the Three Kingdoms, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Wang Yu and Jiao He (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The Working Wikipedian's Barnstar
For your tireless efforts in expanding List of people of the Three Kingdoms. I see you editing that page almost every day. No other person has edited that page as many times as you. You deserve this barnstar for your hard work. LDS contact me 16:47, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In response to the above: It's my pleasure to edit the above mentioned page since I really like the story and the characters in RTK or the real history in 3kingdoms. I edit the the above mentioned page whenever I have spare time. I really like the sorting function of the above mentioned page so I decided to edit the English version. Unlike the other languages versions, it's wonderful to have all the characters sorted by their pinyin names. At the beginning, I found that the number of names are very insuffcient compared to other webpages. English is only my second language so if there is mistake in my editing please correct it. Quix712 (talk) 01:51, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It's fine. You seem to be aware of the differences between fact and fiction on the Three Kingdoms period, unlike others (who mix up both and still insist that they are correct), so I've faith in your edits. I assume you got those names from historical sources such as Records of the Three Kingdoms, Book of the Later Han and Book of Jin, which means you must have been spending hours reading these texts and picking out names. This is a very laborious task so I feel you really deserve some commendation. =) LDS contact me 05:08, 11 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

List of people of the Three Kingdoms

[edit]

Hi Quix712, you may have already noticed my recent changes to List of people of the Three Kingdoms, but I'm still giving you an update here. I've broken up the long table into separate sections with the names sorted in alphabetical order. This makes navigation easier. I've also introduced a new "Notes" column, which is actually meant for references but pieces of information which don't fit in either of the other columns can be included in "Notes" too. I delinked many non-notable names because I don't think these people are notable enough to have individual articles on them. If they were just briefly mentioned in a few lines and didn't do anything particularly significant, then it's highly unlikely that articles be created for them. So, next time when you add names to the list, I suggest you link only notable persons (those whom you think are notable enough to have their own separate articles). This also makes your job easier because you won't need to do a lot of disambiguation for people with similar names. Thank you. LDS contact me 06:55, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, LDS: It's been a great job for you to separate the list into sections. I know you have deleted some characters that directly relate to the Cao Wei, Shu Han and Eastern Wu family because there are separate family trees for them. But how about the Sima family? If you can also create one for the Sima family tree it will be great. Also, please mark the Eastern Family Tree and Shu Han Family Tree in the "Note" columns of Sun Quan and Liu Bei, respectively. Cheers, Quix712 (talk) 09:23, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Thank you for your suggestions. LDS contact me 10:35, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Quix712, I haven't seen you editing for a long time. If you're editing the list again, please take note of the following:

  • Change "dynasty" to the lowercase per WP:NC-ZH#Names of dynasties.
  • Include the source of the information on each person in the "Notes" column. You can refer to the first few names to get an idea of how to present the source.

Thank you and hope to see you back again soon! LDS contact me 14:30, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
