Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I just wanted to give you a heads up that you're on the verge of violating the three revert rule at No Child Left Behind. The rule prevents more than three reversions on any given page in any given 24 hour period; you're sitting at three, which means that one more reversion will break the rule. Just a friendly warning, since I imagine that you weren't previously aware of the rule. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 02:39, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Friendly warning? Pretty cute. Sarcastic? Sarcasticidealist?
When we have a list of press releases and pro-NCLB editorial documents and two of you censor the cartoon, it is pretty serious stuff. It makes a mockery of the balance policies. When you then claim that everything in that heading needs to be based on information, it makes no sense at all. The heading uses the term "editorial." What's going on here? Are you actually protecting balance, fairnesss and truth or are you censoring and deleting material that conflicts with your personal political preferences? The violations you site don't fit here, except that you have ganged up to delete something you don't like. There is plenty in this article I don't like, but Wikipedia is not about "group think," censorship or deleting what offends you.
If you have any sense of fair play, balance and freedom of speech, you will restore the cartoon to sit alongside the President's editorializing. If you do not restore the cartoon, you have violated a neutral point of view (NPOV). By deleting it, you protect a list of biased pro-NCLB press releases and statements from the White House and Ed Department. This is commonly called a "sin of omission."
I write this sincerely and not sarcastically.

- Personal political preferences have no part in this and I find your lack of good faith disturbing. Please stop accusing people of bias towards the Act. -Jéské (v^_^v Mrrph-mph!) 02:58, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- I can assure you that I too intend this sincerely (see this explanation of my username). The trouble with the link you propose has nothing to do with WP:NPOV, but with the failure of the link to meet any of the criteria in WP:EL. If there's a concern with the overall balance of the external links section, I'll go through there and clean it out a bit - those things have a tendency to become overgrown. I promise you that my warning was intended to be entirely friendly, as are all of my activities on Wikipedia. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 03:08, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- I've gone ahead and cleared out many of the external links, and segmented out those that come directly from the administration into their own section. Hopefully that will be the end of it. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 03:25, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Big improvement. Thanks. Why pick "sarcastic" as a handle? It reduces your credibility.
I looked at WP:EL and think if the section was headed "editorials" that WP:EL does not apply, but I am pleased by your change of this whole section and elimination of most of the pro-NCLB White House stuff. Truth is well served by your changes.
- WP:EL applies to all external links, regardless of the heading. Anyway, I'm glad we've resolved this to everybody's satisfaction. As for my username, I chose it more than a year ago because i. it describes me, and ii. I use it a few different places on the 'net. In hindsight, I'd probably have chosen something different, but I think I've built up a fair bit of goodwill around it, so I'm not changing it now. All the best in your future editing endeavors.
