Fair use rationale for Image:ForeverWarComic.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:ForeverWarComic.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Thanks for getting in touch
I was just playing with it anyway, i wasn't going to do much reverting with the tool. Im just here to add to my stuff in rail and the NBA and if i see vandalism i will just undo it. In these situations i cant be bothered to write something in the edit summary so having the tool would have saved me from doing that. Its no big deal, thanks for getting in touch Roadrunnerz45 (talk) 09:21, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

About the nonsense reverting thing you're doing:
- WPCH's schedule - Cpatain Planet is at 7.30 am every Sunday, after JJ on Atlanta
- TBS' schedule - the series is nowhere in sight.

- Looks like you like to ruin others' people work. You went around all my articles (well, at least the one I have on my user page... lucky me I din't listed all of them there) putting your unreferenced banner without reason, then you ask one article to be erased (which is fine by me, by the way). Pretty strange form of editing you have, my friend, specially when you take your time to challenge my articles (which are right). Greetings, and excuse my poor English. RE: Ikki article deletion
Considering that I have substantially referenced, and improved Ikki (video game), and you've stated in the AFD "Article has improved greatly (as I hoped it would) since nomination. Notability has improved.." Would you consider withdrawing your nomination for the article? Notwithstanding the need for more English language links, I believe the notability has been clearly established. AtaruMoroboshi (talk) 15:23, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks for the response. Just a note, you can formally withdrawn your nomination if you choose to do so. From wp:afd "If the reasons given in the deletion nomination are later addressed by editing, the nomination should be withdrawn by the nominator, and the deletion discussion will be closed by an admin. If the nominator fails to do it when you think it should have been done (people can be busy, so WP:AGF on this point), leave a note on the nominator's talk page to draw their attention." - Just strike out your original nomination, and make a statement saying the article improvements satisfied your concerns. An admin will close it shortly after that. AtaruMoroboshi (talk) 10:37, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Talk Page
While generally I don't think material on talk pages should be deleted, when that material does not contribute to the discussions and may in fact be injurious to a person, I feel that there is a certain obligation to remove it. What is Wikipedia's policy regarding this kind of thing? Theshibboleth (talk) 17:52, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
- You're probably right about it not having been a sincere comment. Still, I kind of question this automatic appending of IP addresses to comments. It seems like the only case where it is helpful is if you have a long discussions with more than one person who does not have a username. Otherwise, it's almost like you're breaching a person's privacy (even though the IP is available in the history). They probably didn't post any sort of signature intentionally, but the bot acts irrespective of their intent. Theshibboleth (talk) 20:53, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah... maybe there could be some sort of unique identifier linked to an ip address, and maybe only administrators can see the actual ip address... Theshibboleth (talk) 07:55, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Keep in mind that the nomination page is not a vote, but an accumulation of reasons so an administrator may make an informed decision. ~Auzemandius {talk/contrib} 17:23, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, thanks for clarifying. To be up front with you, it was admitted off-wiki that certain editors show up at AfDs in which I participate to disrupt them. So, I do not like to comment in AfDs anymore as it had become clear that should I comment in any, it will be disrupted by these other editors. I have successfully identified a number of sock accounts that are now blocked; however, the individuals behind those accounts occasionally reappear and the main way they do so is to stalk/harass my comments in AfDs. So, we're all better off if I do not comment in those. I figure we are best off if I try to improve the articles under discussion and then engage those editors whom I think are reasonable, but were I to say something in the actual discussion, trust me based on extensive past experience others will come along and disrupt it and turn it into a farce. Whether the article is kept or not, I do not want to see its discussion disrupted. Best, --A NobodyMy talk 18:25, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
Monica Dawson change
I see you've reverted my removal of the speculation on Monica Dawson. I hope you don't mind me asking why? An IP added in a comment regarding Monica & Micah being shown as killed by the villains in an unaired version of Angela's vision. Since it hasn't been aired and without a source, it seems like speculation to me. Cheers -- WORMMЯOW 14:14, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
- First, the scene did air this season. It was a deleted scene from last season, but it was in on the first two episodes of the third season. That the mentioned characters were envisioned dead is not speculation, but that the "villains" killed them is speculation. Even though it was shown that Knox decapitated Claire, we cannot confirm that she actually died.
- Second, for some reason, I thought you had added that information. So, the reversion to re-add it was accidental, as I was trying to remove it. My reason makes more sense in the removal than in the addition. ~Auzemandius {talk/contrib} 14:20, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yep, I know it was there, but they weren't in it. Anyway, no harm, no foul. Cheers for sorting it so quickly! -- WORMMЯOW 14:30, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Taser versus taser
Hi. I noticed that you recently edited Hiro Nakamura, changing the capitalization of "Taser" to "taser". I had capitalized it last week, per Talk:Taser#Capitalization of noun. Is the weapon a non-Taser electroshock weapon? I have not watched the specific episode, but the Taser X26 has been frequently used by agents. If you have no objections, I will capitalize it again. Compromise over 'Heroes (TV Series)' page
Hi Auzemandius
I have tried to put some information on the Heroes page regarding its similarities to The 4400, but they are repeatedly taken down. I believe, contrary to your point on removing my edit, that the information added is not simply speculation since the evidence for it is explained. If the information is not speculation, then I am confused as to why the information is removed? I would like to compromise somehow over the issue if possible, rather than the information going up and down from the page like a yo-yo, haha!

Replaceable fair use Image:AW-RaBrass.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:AW-RaBrass.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 23:43, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Rhythm & Brass
A tag has been placed on Rhythm & Brass requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. -=# Amos E Wolfe talk #=- 18:00, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Please update your status with WP:VG
Dear WikiProject Video games member,
You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.
The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.
All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:
- Editing video game-related pages in the Article namespace
- Participating in video game-related discussions in the Project namespace (WT:VG, WP:AfD, WP:GAN, etc.)
Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.
Another gentle ping from WP:VG
Dear QuasiAbstract,
You are receiving this message because either [[Category:WikiProject Video games members]] or {{User WPVG}}
is somewhere in your userspace, and you are currently listed in the "Unknown" section on the project's member list.
The member list is meant to provide a clearer picture of active membership. It is recommended that you update your status if you plan to regularly:
- Edit video game-related pages in the Article namespace
- Participate in video game-related discussions in the Project namespace (WT:VG, WP:AfD, WP:GAN, etc.)
Members listed in the "Unknown" section will be removed from the membership list and category at the end of January 2010. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.
