re your post to Jimbo's talk page
[edit]I'm not understanding what you were trying to say with that post. It was just a bare link to an article that looks to be insulting and maybe homophobic, so that is not really a good link. What is the point you are trying to make? If there's a worthwhile point there, I'd be willing to help you present it more cogently, if you like. Herostratus (talk) 09:23, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
- I wanted Jimbo to know about problems in Rissian Wikipedia described in that article. Qnyx77 (talk) 09:34, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
- OK. But first of all, that's a humor site. It's not intended to be taken seriously. Sometimes humor can highlight an actual problem, but better would be to describe the problem yourself, in a serious and brief manner, or point to somewhere that does. Second of all, it's a quite nasty humor site and they have some pretty unpleasant stuff there, and have actually attacked some Wikipedians pretty nastily, and so it's probably not a good site to use here. Thirdly, it's still not clear exactly what problems on the Russian Wikipedia you're referring to, but if it's the reference to the existence of "faggots", "Wikifaggots" and "Wikiqueers", that's insulting and really not going to be helpful, any more than referring to niggers or kikes or tufties or whatever on the Wikipedia would be. That's just not going to fly, so it's probably not worth pursuing. The entire article paints with too broad a brush, for satirical purpose, to really be of much use in starting a useful discussion, so I'd recommend just dropping it. - I believe that it does not matter where the description of the Wikipedia's problems is and in what form they described. As for the fact that it is a humor site that should not be taken seriously, as an editor of the Russian Wikipedia, I can assert that that article truely describes problems of the Russian Wikipedia. As for the fact that it is a quite nasty humor site and they have some pretty unpleasant stuff there, and have actually attacked some Wikipedians pretty nastily, I can assert that Wikipedia has a lot of child porn (for instance), adult porn and zooporn and this fact does not mean that we cannot use Wikipedia. And I have not found in that article any niggers or kikes or tufties. Qnyx77 (talk) 13:18, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 15
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Polygamy in Christianity, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Trypho (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
