This user no longer wishes to associate with the Wikimedia Foundation, here are their final regards. *A new start away from Wikipedia*

This is an archived version of my talk page, I no longer wish to be associated with the Wikimedia Foundation or my actions on the English Wikipedia. You might be wondering: what happened? Well, let me tell you the story. I joined the English Wikipedia in 2020 with my first account, Sharkoii. Did a few edits and got wrapped up in minor controversy and took my leave. Year later, I pull up with a shiny new account, Chompshark. Edited a few articles, particularly related to the Tanglewood Middle School shooting. Then I switched schools. At various Greenville County School District elementary schools, I did my fair share of editing, basically good hand bad hand. I was immature and stupid, and my particular topic of interest during this time was animation-related articles. Then the shitshow started. I created the account YouAreGoingToSweden as a troll account at the beginning of 7th grade, after dropping off the face of the site for a year. Made a few edits disguised as a little kid, and that account was blocked with talk page access revoked pretty quick. Then I made KeroppiKid. I was a constructive editor who was finally having a turn-around, didn't do anything to spark a CheckUser for quite a while. Then I decided to get up to a teensy bit of vandalism over on the English Wikipedia's furry fandom article. This was highly offensive and I understand what I did wrong here. I'd do anything to be able to go back in time and stop myself from making this edit. That account was indeffed within the hour, and I tried to pull the "I was hacked" card, which did not work. Then I busted out the socks, which got blocked quick. That's how I ended up banned from the English Wikipedia. I understand the full extent of my actions and I deeply apologize. I wish to become a good contributor to Wikipedia in the future, but the way my reputation currently stands, that's not happening. The way it currently stands, this account is globally locked, along with all the other accounts I've ever used on English. The CheckUsers even caught a few innocent bystanders in my classmates, such as the accounts like Chanceisstupid, Balls1234WTF, etc. To all the Wikipedians I've ever caused stress, pain, or other harm to, I'm deeply sorry for everything I've done. I hope you can forgive me in the far future. I'd even say this to CHEEIZY, and this guy hated me. Yamla, fr33kman, Ponyo, and anyone else who's ever been involved with my acccounts,I'm not asking for forgiveness, or an unblock, I'm not asking for anything. I just thought I'd come clean to clean up the remaining controversy. Have a nice existence, everybody. Regards, -Christian "KeroppiKid, Sharkoii, whatever name you know me as."

got any articles I can edit?

fairly new around the bloc Puzzle Piece the Wikipedian (talk) 06:05, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Some people start in with copyediting random articles for spelling, grammar, etc. Be aware that country-by-country spelling differences (center vs centre) should not be'fixed'. See WP:Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Spelling for more on that. Another approach is to look for articles about topics you have a strong familiarity with and try to improve those. There are more than 6,000,000 articles in English Wikipedia and fewer than 2% are tagged as either Good or Featured articles. Do put in time improving articles before attempting to create an article. Hi Puzzle Piece

[edit]

I'm glad you're enjoying Wikipedia, but I think you should read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors (and be a little more vague when making posts about your age). Most folks here are decent and friendly - unfortunately, some are not. 57.140.16.31 (talk) 17:08, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say I've done pretty well! Made about 20 edits (maybe higher tbh), made my user and talk pages, and patrolled for vandalism. Puzzle Piece the Wikipedian (talk) 17:14, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's good! There's plenty that needs doing around here, and young folks like you are gonna be the ones doing it when us old farts have passed on to the Great Encyclopedia in the Sky. Just be sure to think twice before posting any personal information in such a public space. 57.140.16.31 (talk) 17:19, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How to publish my secret string from my hash?

[edit]

just wondering where to put it Puzzle Piece the Wikipedian (talk) 17:47, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This would be a good question to ask at the Teahouse, rather than on your talk page where fewer people will see it. I don't use a committed identity - obviously - but you certainly shouldn't publish your secret string anywhere. It's for your eyes only (unless your account becomes compromised). 57.140.16.31 (talk) 18:45, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Seconding what User:57... said. Do not share your string with anyone online. I'd recommend writing it down on a paper and repeating it daily till you've memorized it. If and only if your account is ever compromised and you need to prove that you're the person who created this account, you can share it with the Wikimedia Foundation, Wp:ArbCom, a sysoo or a similarly trusted user. See here for more info. Sincerely, Novo Tape (She/Her)My Talk Page 19:13, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Global lock request

[edit]

I'm just pinging an admin for one reason: I am unable to submit a global lock request for this account, and I wish to have an administrator submit one on my behalf. Ponyo or Bbb23, I know I've been quite the jerk on here in the past, but can you do this for me? I promise I'll be done here afterwards. Puzzle Piece the Wikipedian (talk) 18:56, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Just resubmitting this:

[edit]

@Bbb23, Ponyo, Deepfriedokra, and 331dot: Pinging the few admins I thought might be online and that I know, I've come to this talk page one last time for one reason: incase I ever try to edit again, I've come to request these accounts be globally locked:

- Puzzle Piece the Wikipedian

- Grilledcheesedkeroppi

-!kurukitty!

I have no interest in editing any further, but this is just a safefguard. This is probably gonna be one of the last times I edit, so I'm gonna wait a bit till I get a notification that one of you responded. For the request reason, just put something like "account owner request" or whatever you feel fit. So long. Puzzle Piece the Wikipedian (talk) 00:11, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

not sure if any of the admins I know are online, but it's worth a try

[edit]

@Ponyo: @331dot: @Bbb23: Hey. I'm just resubmitting this because I think I formatted the ping in the above request wrongly. Read the above request for more info, I guess. Bye. Puzzle Piece the Wikipedian (talk) 19:57, 8 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not aware of a global lock being instituted at the request of the user, but that is handled by stewards, not admins. You can contact a steward via email at stewards@wikimedia.org 331dot (talk) 20:33, 8 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
