Welcome to Wikipedia!!!

[edit]
Hello Pushpam! Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. If you decide that you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. You may also push the signature button located above the edit window. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. Below are some recommended guidelines to facilitate your involvement. Happy Editing! -- Kukini 06:23, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Rebound exercise, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. Rebound exercise has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message. If the source is a credible one, please consider rewriting the content and citing the source.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GFDL, you can comment to that effect on Talk:Rebound exercise. Image tagging for Image:Ranjan.pdf

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ranjan.pdf. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 11:32, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Insertion of copyrighted text

[edit]

As mentioned above, please be careful when inserting copyrighted text, as you did you Agroforestry. The material there was copied directly from http://www.actionbioscience.org/biodiversity/bichier.html - this violates copyright law and this material (and other material copied from most other sites) cannot be accepted for inclusion in Wikipedia without specific permission from the copyright holder, in this case Dr. Bichier. In general it is best not to copy the material at all, but instead to write the information from scratch - as noted at the bottom of the edit box while you type - "Content that violates any copyright will be deleted." Material entered by you directly (not copied) is licensed under the GFDL, a public copyright that specifically allows anyone to use the material. I hope this makes things clearer for you. --Firien § 15:02, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Signatures

[edit]

Also on a quick note - the signature you produce (using ~~~~) is for use on talk pages (such as this one, and the discussion pages accessible from the tabs at the top of each article's page), not on main pages. The number of people who have worked on each article page (see the history tab for any page) shows the number of contributors and can be used to track who contributed which information if this is needed. Please be careful not to leave your signature in mainspace articles. Thank you. --Firien § 15:06, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on 2003 international year of freshwater requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
