Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! The article Graphogame has been deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's policy on speedy deletion, because the article seemed to be purely promotional, and, even more importantly, because its contents were substantially a copy of https://graphogame.com/, apparently infringing copyright. This has led me to look at your other edits, and I have found that changes you made to the article Transfer of learning in April 2009 included substantial content from Transfer: Review, Reconstruction, and Resolution, by Sacha Helfenstein, University of Jyväskylä, 2005. It is essential to understand that you cannot copy content from anywhere else into Wikipedia pages unless you can provide convincing evidence that the copyright holder has either released the content into the public domain, or else licensed it for free reuse under terms consistent with Wikipedia's licensing terms. I have yet to check your edits to Agora Center, but with at least two of the three pieces of editing that you have done appearing to infringe copyright, it is essential that you realise that you must be more careful about this issue. I see that, while I was composing the above message, you posted a query about Graphogame on my talk page. Unfortunately, the answer is that I cannot restore the deleted article. Knowingly publishing content that infringes copyright would be illegal, and if I started doing so to pages where I had already indicated that I was aware of likely copyright problems when I deleted them, it might well be only a matter of time before I found myself hauled before the courts by some copyright holder. I have now checked your editing of Agora Center, and found that you added substantial content contained verbatim in https://agoracenter.jyu.fi/focusareas. Also, the content was substantially promotional, and not written from the neutral point of view that is required. I now see that all of your editing has related to the University of Jyväskylä. That being so, it seems probable that you are connected with that university, in which case you have a conflict of interest in editing on subjects related to it. You should generally avoid editing on subjects to which you have such a close personal connection, and should fairly certainly not be creating articles about them, as you are likely to find it difficult, or even impossible, to do so from a neutral point of view. The promotional tone of the editing you have done certainly does nothing to allay concerns in that area. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:10, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
