Since you're directing education editors to edit Civil Rights Movement pages...
[edit]...maybe have a look at the James Bevel page (and talk page). Assignment worthy? The strange thing about the topic is that Bevel ranks among the top figures in American history, on the same level as Dr. King (and both on the same level as Madison, Jefferson, and the rest of the crew) yet is as ignored by editors on Wikipedia as he was by journalists and a couple major CRM historians when he was alive. I've asked on the talk page for eyes on that first sentence, maybe you can take a look. Thanks, and best of luck in teaching students what's for. Randy Kryn (talk) 16:20, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the recommendation. I will direct a student to do that topic. Public-historian-90 (talk) 16:22, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. They will find a full-blown treasure, historically speaking. My paper in the Garrow book has many good references which have not yet appeared on the page, and will be a major source if they can find it in a library (Garrow published just 500 copies, aimed at the academia crowd). I don't think it would be out-of-Wikipedia-line if I communicated on the talk page of the student you choose, if they'd have me. Randy Kryn (talk) 16:27, 18 February 2025 (UTC)
