Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Ps1904, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Quick source note

[edit]

Hi! I wanted to drop a quick note - Wikipedia cannot source itself in almost all situations. The reason for this is that since anyone can edit Wikipedia, there are no guarantees that a specific revision will be correct - or that it will remain the same. You can use sourcing used in the article, but not the article itself. The only time that we can use it as a source is if we're referencing an event on Wikipedia, such as some of the content listed here - basically controversies on things that happen on Wikipedia that have received coverage. Most of the time that's not something that an editor of any type will have to deal with. I've removed the link to the article accordingly. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:08, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
