WikiWomen Unite!
Hi Proudfeminazi! Women around the world who edit and contribute to Wikipedia are coming together to celebrate each other's work, support one another, and engage new women to also join in on the empowering experience of shaping the sum of all the world's knowledge - through the WikiWomen's Collaborative.

Request reason:

I am a declared feminist. The critics of feminists accuse us of being feminazis. You even have an article about the Feminazi name. So how is it offensive that I proudly declare that I am one?

Decline reason:

After considering the reasoning of my two colleagues below, I agree that you're unlikely to have a productive wiki-career with such a confrontational username. User:Proudfeminist doesn't exist yet; would you consider creating a new account under that name instead? Yunshui  12:22, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

As per that same article, the term "feminazi" is considered by many to be pejorative, and as such, it becomes inappropriate to use as a name. We also have an article for plain old Nazi, Fuck, and many other terms that are not acceptable as usernames or as part of usernames. I would also suggest that to claim "the critics of feminists" is perhaps rhetoric - it's only a handful of such critics who use pejorative terminology, which then merely inflames the situation. The phrase "Some critics" would be far more accurate, and less inflammatory on its own. I understand and admire your strong will, but do understand that many will immediately ascribe WP:POV to your edits as you move forward - one never wants to be known as an WP:SPA on Wikipedia! Really, I find the term unacceptable, for the same reason I find usernames that brag about being a "Pimp" unacceptable (and yet, I allow usernames that talk about "Pimpernel" or "Ashkenazi"). If another administrator feels strongly enough to unblock you, though, I won't argue; that said, wouldn't it be easier to just create a new account? DS (talk) 12:07, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
