The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Professor Ahmad Al Safi, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.linkedin.com/pub/ahmad-al-safi/34/a92/951.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Professor Ahmad Al Safi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit]

Information icon Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Professor Ahmad Al Safi. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. The use of Wikipedia

[edit]

Hello. I saw the pages you created on Sudanese poets and the Sudan Medical Archive and I have a couple of comments. Wikipedia is not a hosting service. A Wikipedia article isn't a place for hosting your own project. Nothing on it should have the form of a communication between the author and others. It should be about one subject, not about hundreds of subjects that are all in the same category.

It isn't appropriate to set up a page with hundreds of headings and hoping that other people will fill them in. If someone wants to create an article, for example, about Abdel Rahim Mohamed Ahmed, and if Abdel Rahim Mohamed Ahmed meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines and the information provided (especially if he's a living person) can be supported by material in independent reliable sources, then he should be the subject of an article just about him. It's then OK to have a list of articles that are about, for example, Sudanese physicians, but the articles listed should be actual articles, not people about whom articles can be written but haven't been written yet.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Proposed deletion of Sudan Medical Archives

[edit]

The article Sudan Medical Archives has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is an attempt to use one Wikipedia page as a catch-all, omnibus for an entire project, with hundreds of placeholders for hoped-for contributions by others. I posted an explanation of the proper use of a Wikipedia article to the author at his Talk page.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Largo Plazo (talk) 19:54, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
