Hello, ProDataStack, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as User:ProDataStack/sandbox, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, ask me on my talk page. You can also type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:ProDataStack/sandbox, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit]
Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or website, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can search to see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is still available.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. DoubleGrazing (talk) 18:13, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

Dear Wikipedia Administrators,

I am writing to request an unblock of my account. I fully understand the reasons for my block and take full responsibility for the actions that led to it. I would like to address each of the criteria for unblocking below:

I confirm that I am not currently being compensated for any contributions to Wikipedia. If in the future I receive compensation for contributions, I will comply with Wikipedia's paid-contribution disclosure policy and disclose any relevant details transparently.

I now understand that my edits were interpreted as promotional, which is contrary to Wikipedia’s purpose as a neutral, fact-based encyclopedia. Additionally, my username created the impression of representing a business or organization, which violates the username policy. I deeply regret this oversight and assure you that I have reviewed Wikipedia's guidelines on neutral editing and appropriate usernames.

If unblocked, I will avoid any promotional content and ensure that my contributions are fully supported by reliable, verifiable sources.

To comply with the username policy, I propose changing my username to: MysticOwl2025.

Thank you for considering my request. I truly value Wikipedia as a platform and am committed to adhering to its policies moving forward.

Sincerely,

ProDataStack

We do not consider AI written requests(86% certain according to gptzero). You are blocked, not an AI, so we want to hear from you directly. This wouldn't work to get the AI unblocked. AI cannot capture the specifics of your situation. Please write in your own words without the aid of an AI. Note that "paid editing" is not limited to specific payment for contributions, employment related to your editing, in any capacity, counts even without specific instructions to edit. 331dot (talk) 11:41, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request Reason Hi, huge apologies, I hired a uni student we've used for seveal tasks before to try and set up a Wiki page for us on the basis we genuinely do believe in knowledge share (you can see my Linkedin profile here - https://www.linkedin.com/in/fionagreendata/
I knew it was a tall task but I was hoping he'd do the research and understand the task in more detail before attempting to post - I also did not expect him to use AI to generate a response to you. He's been successful with other tasks he's attempted for us but this one was clearly outside his reach.
I'd like to start again. ProDataStack is a similar company to SportRadar who do have a Wiki page (Sportradar) so we wanted to emulate them - helping provide information about the complex world of data in sports.
I'm a published author (published by Routledge, global management and academic publishers - https://www.routledge.com/Winning-with-Data-in-the-Business-of-Sports-CRM-and-Analytics/Green/p/book/9780367610708?srsltid=AfmBOopOb05kHAyTwiBg8gfi84-PdijV7PTNUro4ERzYhSL39w2XQRKv - and appear in podcasts (https://www.linkedin.com/posts/daniel-jinadu-581908229_beyondfootball-dataanalytics-footballbusiness-activity-7229391365523095554-52Dw/) and noted publications - https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5709251/2024/09/06/footballer-personal-brand-commercial/
Is there any way we can recover this and contribute to your audience in a meaningful way?
Thanks

I've fixed the formatting of your request. Your student failed to make the Terms of Use-required paid editing disclosure. Note that accounts may not be shared- if multiple people have accessed this account, it will need to remain blocked as compromised(see WP:COMPROMISED).

Though understandable, using any random article as a model is a poor idea, as that random article could itself be inappropriate and you would be unaware of that as a new user. (see other stuff exists) There are many ways inappropriate content can get past us- we can only address what we know about. If you want to use other articles as a model, use those that are classified as good articles, which have received community vetting.

Wikipedia is not for merely providing or sharing information. This is an encyclopedia with criteria for inclusion- called notability. Wikipedia articles summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage choose on their own to say about the topic, showing how it is notable- like a notable company. The vast majority of companies do not merit articles(even some that may have them, that we just haven't removed yet). You've found out the hard way that writing a new article(the preferred term for the content of the encyclopedia) is the most difficult task to attempt here. We usually recommend new users first gain experience by spending time editing existing articles before moving up to the more difficult task.

In short, though, there isn't a path forward for this account as access has been shared. 331dot (talk) 13:46, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
