[edit]What an interesting assignment; most of the instructors I have worked with are very hesitant about assigning students to study their own works. We require that biographical articles demonstrate the notability of their subjects using verifiable reliable sources. As a scholar, I'm sure you can understand the necessity of proper sourcing.
