March 2024[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mokadoshi. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Tyler1, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Proper references are especially important for biographies of living people. Hello, I added his birth date since I watch his streams and he said on March 6th that he would be 29 tomorrow, and that he might do a birthday chess stream, which he did. He has also stated on previous streams the he was born in '95. Am I supposed to provide a link to the twitch vod in question? Would I need to add timestamps or something? PreussinBlues (talk) 11:46, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Good question. Not exactly. His stream would not be a reliable source about his birthday because it's not independent from the article's subject. I would recommend you read about reliable sources as it's one of the most important policies on Wikipedia and it will help you in your future edits on the site. For Tyler1 specifically, I would also recommend you take a look here: Talk:Tyler1#Birthday. Mokadoshi (talk) 02:54, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I trust that what you are saying is correct regarding Wikipedia's policy, but seems kind of crazy that the man himself wouldn't be considered a reliable source for the date of his own birth date. PreussinBlues (talk) 17:31, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh wow, I guess sometimes a man isn't a reliable source for their own birthday damn. PreussinBlues (talk) 15:11, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
