License tagging for Image:Presserlogo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Presserlogo.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Adding images
[edit]Hi, you'd avoid your "fair use" images getting tagged for deletion if you simply use a "copyrighted with permission" tag, as found here: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Image:SopraninoSax.jpg , or by using a GFDL license. The reason for this is that Wikipedia generally wishes to use "free" photos, i.e. those that may be reused by others for any purpose. You may, as with the Easton photo above, specify that the photographer and source of the photo be properly credited in any future use of the photo.
You can find these licenses when uploading the photo, in the drop-down menu, or just look at the code of the link I've given above by clicking "edit." I hope this helps. Badagnani 18:35, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi, it looks like you selected a new tag that is also getting your images tagged for deletion. I am very happy to help you, and my advice above will ensure that your photos will be safe and sound. Please let me know if you have any questions. Badagnani 19:04, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I notice you're still adding images using the "fair use" tag. I'll just say once again that they'll probably be removed, so you might consider using one of the templates I suggested above, instead. I'm very happy to help if you need any further assistance with this. Badagnani 21:31, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Duplicate images uploaded
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Zwilich e.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Zwilich.jpg. The copy called Image:Zwilich.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 19:19, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Image:Schickele_pe.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Schickele_pe.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BigDT 01:21, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
Your image uploads
[edit]Hi. Could you elaborate on the sources for your image uploads? Wikipedia's image use policy is to use freely licensed images where possible. For our purposes, "free" means that the copyright holder explicitly authorizes anyone to use or modify the image for any reason. Our preferred license is the GFDL.
We do not accept "fair use" images of living persons or where we can otherwise reasonably expect a free photo to be produced. In other words, none of the photos you have uploaded would qualify for fair use. Please see WP:FAIR for our non-free image policy.
Do you own the copyrights to them? If so and if you would be willing to release them under the GFDL, please email "permissions-en AT wikimedia DOT org" a letter detailing how you own the copyrights to them (did your company take the photos? purchase the copyright?) and that you are willing to release them under the GFDL. If you do not own the copyright or if you are unwilling to release them under an acceptable licnese, please do not upload them. Thank you. --BigDT 01:28, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Zwilich.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Zwilich.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. —Angr 13:36, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

External links again
[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Charles Ives. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Zwilich.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Zwilich.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 22:53, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Presser.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Presser.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. SchuminWeb (Talk) 13:58, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
