Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Vijayanagara Empire, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Mughal Empire, you may be blocked from editing. Remsense 19:05, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am not disrupting
I put forward my source and changed it accordingly once.
Then second time I decided to talk about it in talk page. PranshavAnandPatel (talk) 19:15, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The point is you changed the article again against explicit consensus. This is not acceptable regardless of whether you simultaneously post on the talk page about it: if you don't want an edit war, then don't edit war. Your post was also completely unhelpful—you actually have to explain your reason, not just post a link and expect that to justify your case for you. Remsense 19:17, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The link leads to a book, an credible book which says that the Mughal empire was called the "Dominion of Hindustan" PranshavAnandPatel (talk) 19:23, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not going to argue the content of articles at length on a user talk page, but suffice it to say that not everything that can be possibly cited is guaranteed inclusion; we weigh what all the sources say together. Please consult WP:ONUS and WP:DUE, as well as the existing discussion on this exact topic before expecting everyone else to explain it to you again. Remsense 19:25, 27 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
