Rollback granted
Hi Prahlad balaji. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Chetsford (talk) 19:44, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of IPad with Retina display,
A tag has been placed on IPad with Retina display, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. signed, Rosguill talk 21:45, 12 May 2020 (UTC)

more socks
Since you've apparently been doing this for the last two days, I wanted to let you know I've also removed the tags for Unnamed User socks which you should not have tagged. Leave that to clerks, admins and checkusers. Praxidicae (talk) 14:25, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- And let me remind you of this barely month old warning by Cyphoidbomb that told you to stop editing other people's userpages, since you insist on edit warring to edit them right now. Praxidicae (talk) 14:32, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Prahlad balaji, I just want to state that I agree with Praxidicae above. There are many reasons why an administrator, SPI clerk, or checkuser might decide not to add a sockpuppetry tag on the user page of an account, even if the account was blocked for sockpuppetry. One common reason is WP:DENY: sometimes by tagging the user pages and giving the user attention, we risk make the problem worse. Sometimes "revert, block, ignore" is the best solution. The tags you added to the UnamedUser talk pages, for example, fall under this category of cases where I would avoid tagging on the basis of DENY. In the future, please leave the tagging to administrators, SPI clerks, and checkusers. Thanks. Mz7 (talk) 16:16, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

Celebritynetworth.com as a source
Hi Prahlad balaji. I noticed that you recently used celebritynetworth.com as a source for biographical information in Maggie Gyllenhaal . Please note that the general consensus as expressed at WP:RSN and WP:RSP is that it does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in such articles. I've gone ahead and removed it. If you disagree, let's discuss it. Thanks.--Hipal/Ronz (talk) 15:14, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

Hello Riskpod, you replaced a quote supported by the ref with this: "A partly comic, partly trippy thriller by a new team that’s brimming with ideas", which is not supported by the reference. I probably should have tagged it with good faith, but still, the quote you added is not supported by the reference. --Stay safe, ◊PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•A•C) This message was left at 23:50, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Hello Sapper, you're not supposed to cite yourself. I understand now that your edits were in good faith, but citing yourself does not conform to some of Wikipedia's policies, specifically WP:RS and WP:ORIGINAL. Constructive edits will be appreciated, but improperly sourced edits (even if they are in good faith), will not be accepted. Ange Vierge Citation
Hi Prahlad. I just got your message about my edit about Ange Vierge. I am watching a lot of anime lately and all I did was describe the plot based off what I watched. I am very inexperienced with Wikipedia and I'm sorry for not providing evidence.
SonicShadowSilver11 (talk) 11:36, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello SonicShadowSilver11, thanks for understanding that you should not describe the plot based on how you watched. At this point, I think you should read WP:CITE, WP:RS and WP:ORIGINAL, because they are the three main Wikipedia policies related to citing sources. Hello Prahlad! I would like to inform you that I have removed a G11 tag you placed on Draft:Shruti Das Mohapatra since it was not promotional. Erroneous info on https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Abdullah_Bozkurt
Hi this is Abdullah Bozkurt
I set up an account today to express my concerns and file complaint with regard to stub on me: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Abdullah_Bozkurt
It was brought my attention recently that a web page was created on my name in Wikipedia. I have no problem with that as long as it reflects truth and based on facts.
For one, it was listed that there is a web address https://www.abdullahbozkurt.eu/ as my personal, official page which is not true. This is alarming news for me. This web site, which I found out about it because the Wiki page referred to it, is a fake web site that copied my copyrighted articles published by the Swedish NGO Nordic Research and Monitoring Network. I do not know hwo did it but suspect somebody linked to the Turkish government. I've already filed the complaint with the registrant and hosting companies of this fake web site that uses my name and my work illegally and pretends that it is my official page.
Secondly, I was described as business director which I'm not. I am an investigative journalist and author. The name of my wife is also listed there which is a concerning for me as I have been trying to shield my family from persecution I face from the Turkish government which jailed over 100 journalists in prisons, labels them as terrorists. It is a shame that the Wiki page reflected similar perspective of government that is branded as the world's largest jailer of the jorunalists.
Also totally irrelevant parts were added to the stub like Ergenekon case.
It appears this stub was originally created by a user Random who was already flagged for writing false, irrelevant parts in Wikipedia before. He did this before for another Turkish journalist, Yavuz Baydar, and his content was removed because of it. It appears this user is a pro-Turkish gov't person who generate content favorable for the government and negative for critical, independent journalists like me who expose wrongdoings of the Turkish government in his articles and commentaries.

Please advise on how to proceed.

Hello Researcher Turkey, here are the steps that you need to take in order to prove that you are, in fact, Abdullah Bozkurt.
- Be willing to prove your identity to the Wikimedia Foundation (that is, the organization that operates Wikipedia and its sister projects).
- Request a change in username, from "Researcher Turkey" to "Abdullah Bozkurt". You may get blocked along the way, don't worry; just follow the instructions in the block message, and you'll be fine.
- If you are the person represented by the username, then send an e-mail to info@en.wikimedia.org stating that you are Abdullah Bozkurt. The people who operate this email are known as the volunteer response team. They are indeed volunteers, and you may not get an immediate response. If you are not the person represented by it, then change your username to something else.
Hope I helped! --Stay safe, ◊PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•A•C) This message was left at 12:33, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

Relisting at RfD
You didn't relist Interstate 425 correctly. The log pages are chronological from the bottom (oldest) to the top (most recent). This was relisted at 21:01, so it should be between Xiao En and Christmas in Canada?. I would recommend staying away from clerking RfD and leave it for experienced editors who know what they're doing. Thanks, -- Tavix (talk) 21:28, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
- not commenting on the advice, but if you continue clerking you may want to consider installing WP:XFDC, a script that I find helps a ton by automating the whole process. Cheers, -- puddleglum2.0 22:15, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

- Action of 23 April 1782 should not have been relisted. Per WP:RGUIDE, that discussion should simply be deleted by the next patrolling admin. Please stop relisting, you do not have enough experience to properly assess discussions. One of the things that came up multiple times at your ill-fated WP:RFA is that you are too quick to jump into things that you don't understand and this is a good example of that. -- Tavix (talk) 01:44, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

- WP:RELISTBIAS. Another tip: if you're planning on partipating in a discussion, it's far better to leave your opinion on the discussion before it's relisted. It can make a difference between a decisive close and an unnecessary relist. Also, if you relist and then immediately leave a vote, it can seem that you're WP:INVOLVED and are relisting to achieve a certain result that you want, rather than being a neutral party. -- Tavix (talk) 01:56, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- Tavix, could you tell me where to learn relisting? Thanks. --Stay safe, ◊PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•A•C) This message was left at 01:49, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- One other thing: You had relisted all remaining discussions on Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2020 May 13. When there are no more discussions open on a given log date, it should be removed from the list like this. Thanks, -- Tavix (talk) 13:33, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- Ok. --Stay safe, ◊PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•A•C) This message was left at 01:46, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- I've reverted your relist of the Epic Rap Battle of History redirects. Unlike the other ones, which are closer to "best practice" errors or newbie mistakes, this one is actually clearly against guidelines. You may not relist discussions in which you are WP:INVOLVED. I've asked you nicely a couple times now, but you have shown time and time again that clearly don't know what you're doing, so STOP RELISTING. If this continues, I will request a topic ban from doing so at WP:ANI. -- Tavix (talk) 15:05, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- Correct horse battery staple didn't need to be relisted either. As the discussion has gone on, participants have settled quite nicely into a consensus of refining it to the section that mentions the phrase. Those saying "keep" don't have an explicit objection to the refining suggestion, and "delete" is in the minority and a bit outdated since there is information now. someone who is aware of this nuance would correctly make that call, rather than unnecessarily extending the discussion. -- Tavix (talk) 15:10, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
RfD relists
When valid criticism has been posted, it is a very bad look to just archive the page. My thoughts on this matter are that there is no need for you to be doing administrative actions at RfD – there's already more than enough editors doing so. It is far better to just comment in discussions rather than relist them, especially given you are extremely limited in your RfD participation. — J947 [cont] 19:43, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

Hi, I have yesterday received a message from you about Alessandro Casagrande's page. My name is Alessandro Casagrande. I am an artist world recognized and editor in chief of an international magazine. - I speak English, and I inferred that through context. The problem, which you did not address, is that they tried to hijack an article. Further, you shouldn't be encouraging people with clear COIs to create articles about them, since that is expressly discouraged at WP:COI. Sources needed for Days of the Year pages
I see you recently accepted a pending change to February 27 that did not include a direct source.
You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the edit notice on that page, the content guideline and/or the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide. All new additions without references are now being either reverted on-sight or in some cases where the patroller is especially motivated, immediately sourced. I've gone ahead and un-accepted this edit and backed it out.
All the pages in the Days of the Year project have had pending changes protection turned on to prevent vandalism and further addition of entries without direct sources. As a pending changes patroller, please do not accept additions to day of year pages where no direct source has been provided on that day of year page. The burden to provide sources for additions to these pages is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you and please keep up your good work! @Toddst1: Sorry that I accepted something that had no sources. I won't do it again. --Stay safe, ◊PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•A•C) This message was left at 12:31, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
Garbage on user page is disruptive
When I followed the link from the history on February 27 to leave the message above, it took me to your user page. That garbage that appears to be a protein model you have there is covering up the navigation tabs making it impossible to get from there to your talk page. I had to manually type the talk page address in to get to your user page. That is disruptive on any user page but as someone with advanced privileges, you need to have a much more accessible page. Please fix it. Toddst1 (talk) 22:25, 29 May 2020 (UTC)

AIV reports
Hi Prahad balaji, I was wondering about your most recent reports to WP:AIV. I am not an admin and am not going to remove the reports but...
- Arnab Biswas Arnav created an autobiographical draft, which has no chance of being accepted; that is a bad idea of course but I cannot see that you tried to communicate that to the user. There is a message about creating autobiographical articles on his user talk page, but that was posted by a different user at the same time as you reported him to AIV.
- Suhotra das, you reported them as a promotion-only account but that is clearly not the case. Again, this is someone who (apparently) tried to create an autobio, but who has also edited other pages. They might need an informational message about overlinking and not adding unsourced information, but their user talk page is blank – did you try to communicate with them before reporting?
- As3727 has made one edit which might have been a test or it might have been vandalism, but reporting them as a vandal-only account is way over the top. A level one warning about test edits would have been much more appropriate. Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 13:51, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

Why did you flag me
Hi am moffei, why would you flag my talk page with no proper explanations. What is your deal with my account. Was wikipedia created for you alone? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 154.160.16.215 (talk) 10:41, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Hi, I flagged your page because it is a) a misuse of Wikipedia as a web host (see WP:NOTWEBHOST) and b) it is promoting a company or person (WP:UP#PROMO). Have a nice day! --Stay safe, ◊PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•A•C) This message was left at 10:47, 31 May 2020 (UTC)

Removing El Savador link from San Salvador Island (Storm 12)
Hi,
The edit that I made was correct.
Someone incorrectly assumed that "San Salvador" referred to the capital of El Salvador. However, within context, it was San Salvador Island in The Bahamas.
The sentence read: "Further deepening occurred as the storm moved northeastward into the Bahamas, where it made landfall on or brushed Long Island, Rum Cay, and San Salvador on October 16." Long Island and Rum Cay are about 1700km from San Salvador (El Salvador) and therefore not possible to have made landfall on the same day both in the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.
I've removed the link and inserted the word "island" to avoid confusion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Terryally (talk • contribs) 16:16, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Terryally: All right, sorry. I must've been mistaken. --Stay safe, ◊PRAHLADbalaji (M•T•A•C) This message was left at 17:05, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
Tagging of Draft:Sfth
I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Draft:Sfth. I do not think that Draft:Sfth fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because This seems to be a description of a work of fiction (possibly unpublished) not a hoax. If you wish, you may try using the simple proposed deletion (PROD) process, or the full articles for deletion (AfD) process, instead. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 17:10, 31 May 2020 (UTC)

- No problem, that is how one learns here at Wikipedia. We try things and someone advises us otherwise. There is much to learn; I am still learning after 15 years of editing. But do remember that speedy deletion should only be used in clear-cut cases. If there is any doubt that a CSD applies, don't use it, please. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 17:20, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
